just taken delivery of mine today
I missed the initial order date and after returning from holidays the orders were on hold due to back log

I was fortunate to pick one up from a member looking to move one on.

Arrived today and very happy with it, my first Smiths watch

size is better than anticipated for my slim wrists

What size is your wrist as a matter of interest?

I decided to push the button on a Seafire yesterday after some indecision. So I went to the site only to find it closed again so Eddie can ship his orders. I then saw one on SC and jumped at it! It arrived today.

The size is spot on for me, the finish on the PVD is superb and as always it feels like a substantial, top-quality TF piece. The movement is really interesting and I shall be interested to see how well it keeps time, since others have had good results. The green striped NATO may take a bit of getting used to but in general I think the design really works very well – the touches of green on the dial and second hand are subtle but very effective and the overall “tool” aesthetic is great. I think I have a new grab-and-go weekend watch and will be trying it on a variety of other straps to see how it looks. Overall though, it’s a lovely thing, I’m not surprised they’re selling at speed.

I was confident that would work very well and it really does. Great combo!

I'll be ordering one myself just as soon as I forget how much I've already spent on straps and watches in the last couple of weeks.
I do like the Brady sail cloth straps. Have one with yellow stiching on my custard seawolf and a white stich one on my Damasko DC67.
Might try the yellow strap they now do on my seawolf next summer...

It looks spot on. Definitely the best non NATO strap I've seen on it so far.

Mine arrived this morning and I am pleased to report that my worries about it being too big were ill founded - it looks and feels fine!

Its a substantial piece though and I was surprised at how tall it is - however after an hour or so it wasnt really noticeable. Straight on to the waiting black perlon and off we go! Wore it to the Twyford Christmas fair this evening (sorry for crappy iphone photo)

I suspect that it will grow on me even more.......

    Really suits the Perlon.

Had a quick 'thinking outside the box' attempt with a different kind of sailcloth strap. Didn't work!

    Back to the perlon...

The point made previously regarding how wrist shots can sometimes give a distorted view is a good one. Below are pics taken on my iphone a few minutes ago. The first one showing the height of the watch on my 6.75" wrist would really put me off - however, wearing it as a type this it feels fine. Dont get me wrong - its a substantial thing but it feels and looks OK. The second one gives a better impression of how it wears on my wrist.

At this size the choice of strap is critical for me. On the original (excellent quality) NATO it feels far to bulky - the case needs to sit as low as possible for me. Perlon is perfect.

(Meanwhile, just waiting for a green perlon from Watch Obsession...........)

Anybody who's already purchased a Seafire will be able to claim one for free next time they order a strap or something.

Like the pins Eddie, nice touch. Will have to remember to request one when I put in an order for the new nylon straps you posted to Facebook :)

Looks like I got my timing all wrong then Eddie. My Seafire arrived a couple of weeks ago and the straps I ordered from you last week came through the letterbox today!

Now I have a good excuse to order something else soon!

Ordered my own Brady not too long ago, this is the first picture I have seen of it on the Seafire. Can now say that I am VERY excited for when it arrives. That and the two piece nylons I just ordered from Eddie... and to think the Seafire was a "random moment of weakness" purchase, it's now turning into my every day wear!

The stitching is a perfect match for the green.

I wish I could tell you, but I’ve no idea where I got it from, sorry.

Not easy keeping track when you’ve got a few:

It looks a bit like the TSS one shown in an earlier photo - was just wondering whether it was

That’s a possibility, I’ve bought from them before.

If you’d like it (it’s as new) chuck a tenner in the charity pot & I’ll stand the postage.

Wow, that's the best looking Seafire combo I've seen yet. Don't know if it's the green stitching or just the khaki against the PVD but it really works. It's almost like the nylon matches the lume too. Quite tempted myself now!

If Eddie did variations on this, they might be called the Landfire and the Airfire.

Well. The "Airfire" was the Spitfire. And an example of a Landfire might be the Merlincar...

Green Pertex arrived today from Watch Obsession

I dont like it at all

If its a case of having some green in the strap than the original NATO looks much nicer

I have one the Watch Works olive PVD and a plain black PVD from Eddie on the way - looking forward to seeing what its like on those....

Velorum Imo just too green, I think we're all the same just looking for strap nirvana.........:)
I still think the plain black perlon, khaki Nato and the Brady are unbeatable.
