    1980 G10

    Hi.
    First post.
I've had my G10 watch in a drawer for a number of years, last time i tried to get it working with a new battery it kept time for 3 months and then stopped.
Any recommendations on a good contact for repair or service.
Is there any information I could get on this, from my previous lurking i'm assuming this is CWC 1980 G10 Watch.
The Glass has some clouding/discolouration, would this mean i require a replacement.
Thanks in advance for any information.

    CWC G10

The mechanical parts of the movement probably require cleaning and oiling, this has worked for me in the past. Any skilled watchmaker
should be able to do this. Getting the back off can be tricky. There are a couple of G10 collectors on the forum and hopefully they will chip in.

Try polishing the crystal with brasso, it should get rid of the superficial scratches. Original crystals with the matt finish tension ring are hard to
find and a shiny tension ring does not look right IMHO.
