    Bertie had a trim today.
Came home and spent half an hour running in circles around the garden.
    Bonkers...😀

Is that when you prepare it, or while they digest it?

When you see dogs at shows the owners usually have some small chunks of cheese in a bum bag to make quite sure they obey instructions.

All of mine have always adored cheese with no side effects.
    Cheers,

When I was a young lad, our Rottweiler preferred cheese over meat! Once a day, my mum gave him a tiny piece of Gouda. No way in hell that you could stand between the dog and my mum with cheese. 60kg Rottweiler would push you aside.

Granted, it was a strange dog: he carefully took hedgehogs in his mouth and spat them out the moment returned back in the house... totally happy with his new friend!

Rufus the golden worker cocker spaniel on the right (5 months old) and Rocco who is only 9 weeks old on the left who is a show type cocker spaniel, picked him up Saturday

Can't beat a cocker spaniel, we are a bit obsessed, hence why one of each

    Cheers Menno!

She's a handful but great fun.

Actually Dot seems quiet compared to my son's BT when we were in Florida recently.

    That thing (Bianca) is mad!

Here she is last year in Washington wearing a jumper..

My Lab, 12 1/2 now can't believe how fast time goes by, still remember him as my puppy. It sucks that dogs don't live a long time compared to us, seeing your dog go from a playful puppy to a old man in 12 years is one of life's cruel jokes. Someone once said to me "The only disservice a dog does you is not living long enough" it's so true. He's still in good health, touch wood, at the moment, back legs a little weak and gone slightly deaf but overall pretty good for a 70 year old in human terms! Found this rather complicated dog age tool on the web, someone put a lot of work into that, estimated Monty at 68! http://www.ajdesigner.com/fl_dog_age/dog_age.php

    Cheers Stuart.

As you know they are comical dogs.

I think their unusual look helps, that and the fact they often seem to get into potty looking poses.

People often stop me and say, "I love those dogs", but you rarely see one.

Probably because they can be quite a handful.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

    Thanks for the link!

My cocker spaniel is just coming up to 3 years of age. Not having given any thought to it really, it's suddenly a little shocking to realise that's equivalent to late twenties for a human.

In my defence I couldn't see his face in the pic.

My lovely nan and grandad always had Cairns, the brindle variety.

    Great little characters!

Finally took the plunge with 2 Bulldogs, just allowed out the house and I can't get more than a few yards without being stopped by someone who wants to fuss them.

This is my very favourite picture of my little Rottweiler, Poppy.

She passed away a few months ago but we still think of her a lot. She adored my son and was always near him.

Sorry, rubbish post! Brother and Sister, Martha the chunky one on the left and Arthur on the right. Both just 12 weeks old in the pic, growing up quickly and at the moment love a walk and chewing the plaster on one of the kitchen walls.......
