What happened? Love the collage you posted earlier, should've left a note, but I know that you know that she is adorable. In any case, speedy recovery to the young lady!

Thanks! She (Lola) managed to catch her dew claw on Monday, which bled a bit.

Seemed to be OK, until she caught it again on Tuesday (bled a lot more and was sticking out at a funny angle) so we whisked her off to the vets - they trimmed it back and bandaged her up.

Although it would not have hurt to walk on it, she's been hobbling about on three legs for a couple of days. Vet took off the bandages last night and all seems to be doing well.

What is it with Bullies, they just have to clown around. Our pair of circus animals sleep or rest upside down on the chairs with their head hanging as if their neck is gonna break. Only a bullie eh?. Totally gorgeous though.

I agree Stuart, they are completely potty.

I think their unusual look and comedic actions make them so photogenic.

Whenever I am out with Dot (or Deana RIP before) people often waylay me and tell me how much they love Bullies - but nobody ever seems to want to own one.
    Cheers,
    Neil.

They are unique for sure, a weapon of mass comedy and without a bad bone, i am in need of another and soon.

Sounds painful but not too serious - hopefully she's back to four wheel drive now!

    Wonderful!

A lot of people are surprised how well cockers work in water.

My 9 (now 10) year old cocker bitch did a perfect retrieve on a big Canada goose last year, that earned a round of applause from the watching guns. What Cockers lack in size they make up for in heart.

We have two, with our name down for another puppy hopefully at the end of this year. Will come into a pack that also has three Labs!

Now that is one fine looking dog - none of the normal "heavy solid labrador" genes. Are there any particular blood lines in the breeding?

Our latest is only just coming up to 10 weeks but is already a little reprobate:

As soon as the alarm goes off in the morning Nugget walks over to my side of the bed. I get out, he gets in.

I think he likes making me jealous! Rubbing it in that I have to go to work.

Two of a set of three.
    Welded mild steel.
Much easier to manage than the other three 'real' ones.

Mum is a working Lab from Norfolk and Dad was from Lime Leigh Kennels in Norfolk. He is called Fred (or Limeleigh Teddy Bear for his full name) and both had great hip scores, etc. We specifically liked her naorrower build but we do get asked what breed she is sometimes because shes not got the labrador show breed look.

Loveley pup, I know what you mean about being a reprobate - it does get better but Luna is still a little minx at times ;)

I see Lime Leigh has a stud with Drakeshead lines. Our middle lab is a Drakeshead dog (Percy) and they are great blood lines.

All our dogs - cockers and labs- are working dogs from working lines, as by and large they have fewer issues than show lines.

My son's Bull Terrier, Bianca. She's a right handful.

When she gets hot she likes to sit on the pool steps to cool down.

    Cheers,

I love Bull Terriers, though I've only ever kept whippets and lurchers. Am I right in thinking that predominately white coloured dogs are more prone to skin cancer due to their lack of pigmentation?

I've sent the pic to my wife right away. 'Smitten' is the correct word here. In fact, the other day she asked me if there was anything new about Dotty. (Slowly but surely we're getting somewhere in our household!)

Glad your wife is liking the pics Menno. Can I hear the patter of tiny Bull Terrier feet in your household any time soon?

My Mrs took this phone pic of our potty girl yesterday after she had chucked her blanket out of her kitchen bed (she has a bed in the lounge and on the landing too).

    Cheers,
    Neil.
