Very poor standards based on the photography. Look at the third photo for this watch; the bexel is covered in fingerprints....

Never heard of BQ Watches until today but keep hearing an advert running on Planet Rock. Sounds like the horological equivalent of wewillbuyyourcar.com.
Website is very poor with pics not matching watch descriptions.

I just imagine little old widows getting robbed.

I hate websites like that. :pukeleft:
I might be wrong, but their website looks like they might be part of fitzrovia of London.
If they have no association, then it looks like BQ, have ripped off fitzrovia's look
A google of the address lists 'The Gold Shop' and 'TGS Pawnbrokers' who are listed as Western Union agents.

Yuk. They seem quite proud of the fact they are "As seen in the Daily Mail".
Says it all really.
I didn't spot that but I agree with your sentiment completely.Originally Posted by kungfugerbil

Nothing to do with Fitzrovia Watches.
I just sold a watch to BQ. Very easy experience and they offered the best price I could find, probably better than even on here and they pay cash straight away. They have a rather large office in Burnt Oak, N London, with ten people working at computers and are knowledgeable about watches. I think they can offer the best prices because they are like watch traders and they work on high volume rather than high margin and so they probably are the leading buyer/seller of used watches in UK as they claim. If you want the best price for your watch I would approach them and hold firm on your price as if they like your watch they really want to do the deal.
I have seen them at various trade fairs (Jewellery trade)
They are very big stockists and buy all over Europe. They are mainly trade suppliers of used (pre-owned if you prefer) watches. Many High St jewellers stock used watches from them on a sale or return basis.
I am sure they have some fine watches and I am also sure they have some fairly poor watches. From what I have seen of their stock it is at least honest. By the time it gets retailed at a high st shop, it is expensive.
Straight up traders. I have no issue with them.
