Expensive Trip To Bond Street

Had a costly trip to Bond Street last Friday, and I didn't even buy anything! What I did do though was look at a JLC window display and see a beautiful Master Control Hometime. I remembered I'd seen one on sales corner a few days before, and contacted the seller over the weekend. As luck would have it, despite living 200+ miles away he was virtually passing my office door on business the following day. You can guess the rest.

A master control was the first watch I bought on sc, and I sold it when I bought a Patek Calatrava. That's now gone and I regretted selling the master control, so I was delighted to get another version. The watch is bigger than I was expecting, but slim and comfortable. After playing around with it for a while, I've decided that I'll probably keep the secondary time zone hand hidden behind the hour hand. My need for knowing the time in New York or Sydney is not great, and the watch is easier to read without it. It's a nice feature to have though.

I walk down Bond Street every morning to get to work, but thankfully too early for the shops to be open or have anything displayed in their windows. Otherwise I would probably be a very poor man!
