    Still got your old Mac from the seventies in the loft?

    Might be worth dusting it down;

    How cool would that look in the house :)

    Unlikely, given that Macs didn't go on sale until 1984.

    I got my paws on an Apple II in 1980.

    The fun of lifting the lid to see the Chuck Peddle 6502 processor and then to up the ram to the maximum 48K by plugging in 16K chips, being careful not to bend their little legs, those were the days. The days when MS had not bought an OS for peanuts and called it DOS (ok I think it was first marketed on the IBM PC as PC-DOS before a re-brand called it MS-DOS).

    Anyone remember CP/M (From the sadly missed Gary Kildall) and MP/M?

    Then there was the ill fated Apple Lisa before the Mac first appeared. Did anyone ever buy a Lisa?

    TZ-UK: Pedanticism Matters! - seems just like another forum I've chalked up frequent flyer miles on.

    Apple 1 built 1976, retailed for $666.

    ....now valued up to $500,000.

    Note to self: do check out car boot sales :)

    I haven't checked in quite awhile but my parents did have an original Macintosh, that was working when it was replaced, in the original box from circa 1984, sitting in their loft.

    I told them to stick it on eBay 5-years ago but that fell on deaf ears; will have to mention it again. I'm sure there would be a few people who'd be interested in a slice of Apple history.

    I still have my Stornophone! A mobile and three quarters that was!

    Still not worth much though apparently:-

    I have a good friend who has an original Stylophpne (boxed!). He got it as a kid and never let it go.
