    Great watch!
I can see several cool strap variations with this one.

I've got one of these and I love it more and more. It's got a great movement ,perfect size and super legible dial.
The bracelet is perhaps not the best.
I tend to wear mine on a vintage leather or olive cordura strap.

A classic pilot's chrono IMO. (But then I'm biased - this was an early grail for me).

Yep, love my rainbow coloured one, although the black and white like this is also tempting.
I find it a bit top heavy though, needs a more substantial bracelet.

it's getting a rest now, as my Oris is back. It should be off to Duncan soon, to be properly serviced.

I was looking for de Luca II with black dial but found this one accidentally and managed to buy it at a reasonable price. When it arrived I was really astonished. What a watch! This is something ... I mean I would not and I surely did not expect that beauty in EDC form. So I've got another great el Primero and there are still plenty to choose from.

I actually think the bracelet is particularly comfortable - it took a bit of messing around with the sizing, but once I got it right, the watch sits very securely.

Stunning. I used to own the rainbow coloured one.
Yours has great lume still. Original lume or reapplied?

The lume seems to be original.

Apparently the later dials have better lume. I can't remember why though.

The earlier models have tritium dials but this one has superluminova.

I would agree with this - my dial & hands were recently replaced by Zenith and the new superluminova dial is much better than the aged (and on one hand falling off) tritium lume.

I have a Tritium dial (little 'T' either side of the 'Swiss Made' logo at the bottom of the dial, later models just have a dot either side), and its very dull after about 10 years...

Maybe when it needs a service I should go to a Superluminova dial/hands too as it's quite annoying in poor light.

I am very pleased with the result it was well worth it in terms of looks, the watch also has some sentimental value too. I can't remember the exact cost now although I did post the estimate on here last year whilst I was deciding what to do. Total including service was about 600 so not cheap but really made the watch look like new again.

I must say the service from LVMH was excellent sent me a pre-paid box, sent back the old parts (at my request for provenace) and turned it round fairly quickly too - and didn't cash the cheque until the job was finished. When the watch developed a fault (minutes not zeroing) they took it back & fixed under warranty, returing it within three weeks in a nice zippered case (very similar to a Breitling service case) complete with timings taken over 3 days.

If you like the watch it is worth it & when I popped into the JLC Boutique in London all the staff admired my Zenith and were impressed by how good it looked (+ listened to its 36000 bph movement).
