Saying hello with some pictures of my watches

Hello! I'm not new, really. I posted a while ago under a different username (the log-in details of which I have since forgotten) and have for the last few months become interested in watches once again.

I started off with this a few years ago. It's wonderfully reliable, has a good looking dial, and is a great size for me.

Then I came by this from my grandfather (and enquired here about straps). Nice sentimental watch, quite elegant I think, but nothing special.

Next came this: my favourite and worn every day.

Finally, a few weeks ago I picked up this. Cheapie from China--taught me a lesson about value, namely you get what you pay for in terms of quality. Still, it's a fun watch, and will apparently be perfect if I want to go on a very deep dive.

Is there any significance to the dates on the last watch?

    Welcome back :)

Nope! At least, not for me. Maybe for the watchmaker...

    Welcome back

I see on your super deep diver there is a date, is there a significance, did you ask for it?

Yes, I believe it was designed to accompany this Chinese dive mission, in case the crew had to bail from the sub.

Or maybe I just made that up.

Yep. They designed it specifically for this purpose. Exactly the same depth rating and everything. :D
