No, surely I don't need to explain why
Would you buy a Seiko ?
Not any Seiko of course, but this:
No, surely I don't need to explain why
Most definitely not! It's ghastly
Although I might go for something like this

Someone will be along to explain the reasons we should all own one. After they've been to their Thursday class at Weirdo's Anonymous.
There are loads of watches that fall into the 'no' category a lot less than this.
I like Seiko vintage divers and I do not have £375k to throw at a bling dress one, so a no from me!!
When you look long into an abyss, the abyss looks long into you.........
That is horrible! Not for me, and I hope I never meet the person who it is right for.
Well I'll buck the trend and suggest it's not too bad.
No idea of scale but presumably it's a ladies watch and at a stretch could be a design from the 1930s or earlier.
At least it looks like a watch and easy to read. Prefer this to the usual garish monstrosities usually found at this price point.
I'm a little lost for words, so I'll just say it the best I can: Hell Nao!
They seem to have been inspired by a 1960s kitchen floor for the dial.
Not for me
It's lush.

It seems the crown lines up. They must take great care and pride in their work. On this merit alone I will start saving up for one.
It's absolutely hideous looking though.
No thanks, looks like a posh chocolate with a leather strap.
Me neither...as much as I am a huge fan of Japanese watches. Even if I had that wad o cash just stuffed under my couch, with no better intended use, I wouldn't do it. I'm not sure what their target was this this...judging from the colors and motif of the case/dial, maybe some sheikhs or maharajahs ?
What I would pay for, when I will easily afford it is this fine, platinum case Grand Seiko, a steal at 20 times cheaper than the pictured watch :D

Seems to be a lot going on with that one. So it's a no!
I bet it's beatifully crafted. Shame it's fugly.
And for that reason I'm out.
I'm not swapping somewhere you can live for a ghastly watch!
It's just a matter of time...
A PR stunt, surely? Nobody with access to £375,000 would buy that.
It's a one-off - a single example, which has the highest beat movement Seiko/Credor have created.
From memory, it is 12 per second.
The sweeping second hand would make even a Spring Drive's look jittery.

if its as nice as it looks in the picture, then yes, i would consider it.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
If I won the euromillions I'd put it out of its misery and stick that movement into a 6309 or MM300 case.

no, no, a thousand times NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best Regards - Peter
I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
No but then many watches look a little "Ebay special" when they are in this sort of price bracket so I'd be unlikely to spend that sort of money (I'd have to win the lottery first mind you so it's never going to be an issue that crosses my mind).
If you're dropping 375k on a watch , you can buy what you like . Maybe you want to because ' you can ' ...maybe because its the only one in the world and therefore reminds you how special you are . Maybe it won't get sold . Maybe it dorsnt matter - Maybe it's just a virtuoso 'vanity' piece by the maker , that shows what they are capable of and is a statement of their cachet . maybe it also attracts publicity . Maybe its function is to make you think again about what a Seiko should cost or look like . In any case , taste doesn't come into it , and , lets face it at this price why should it ? It's not like any potential buyer will be seeking forum approval or anything . There's plenty of fugly Rolex at this end of the scale and it certainly doesn't seem to do them any harm .

Good Lord! £375K? For that? Yukk! It just goes to prove, cost/price is no reflection of taste/style. I'd rather buy a house with the 375K. At least you stand more of a chance selling it later :)
the only thing i really dont like about it is the dial that looks like a tiled bathroom floor.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.
The person buying this is hardly going to worry about selling it, this is for people where money is just not a concern - multi billionaires, lots of the mega rich buy possessions that are about exclusivity not just beauty.
To the average man 375K is a lot of money (me), to some it is just a days interest from investment...if only!
1. Regarding the comparison w/ SD, there is no comparison, there is no jitter in SD, it's trully fluid. And yes, i owned one briefly so I know, i also own a Precisionist that "beats" at 16 BPS and under certain angles you CAN see it "twitch" a bit, with the SD, i could not notice any.
2. As much as i agree this is fugly, the fact that it is such a unique thing probably means this IS a good investment.

That Seiko it's just...fugly. I wouldn't consider it an option even if had a pricetag of £3,000. The movement in a watch is important (at least for us) but the looks should matter too.
I'd use a small amount of those 375k, though, to buy a PP Nautilus and a Calatrava.
Even Liberace wouldn't wear that!
This watch isn't marketed for western watch fora users, or any westerner, it's probably only made to say 'we can', dogs licking balls etc. and I bet a few wealthy Japanese millionaires would happily wear it.
