Talking Well and truly caught the bug!

A forum newbie here introducing myself and the beginning of my watch collection. I hadn't given much thought to watches until earlier this year when a friend showed me his 70's Omega Seamaster that he'd had restored. I knew nothing about decent automatic watches, but instantly became interested. I've picked up 5 watches so far that really stood out to me and have way too long a list of others that I would like. The roll call is as follows:

    Omega Seamaster (176.005)
    Omega Seamaster Cosmic (166.065)
    Smiths Explorer PRS-25
    Seiko 6119-7420
And a Sewills (3244) "Ark Royal" that arrived today.

Soon to be added to that will be a Vostock Amphibian, a Luch single hander and (if someone is willing to part with one), a PRS-22.

I'm working on improving my photography to do the watches justice, but here are some quick snaps.

Welcome, you have a nice collection already. I suspect that will considerably grow over the coming months and years

    Welcome.

That's an impressive collection already and I really like the Sewills.

Recently picked up a Luch single hander myself - great watch for the money but the strap that comes with them is terrible.

Indeed, since I got into watches last year I have 'invested' a large proportion of disposable income on this hobby.

Seeing the Smiths Everest is really making me want to get one.

Thanks for the warm welcome people.

The Omega 176 is my favourite at the moment, but that's reserved for dress occasions. The Cosmic really needs a new crystal, but they are rare as hens teeth it would seem.

Do it! It's a great watch. Gets lots of interest when I wear mine.

It's a nice chunky piece of vintage. Ordered a new strap for it from Eddie this week.

I managed to pick it up cheaply as it needed a bit of work to be usable again. It too could do with a new crystal as the previous owner did a ham-fisted job of replacing it last time, but I'm leaving it as is until it really needs it.
