Yes please!
I have my eye on an Enicar and wanted to see/learn more about what appears to be an undervalued brand with some really interesting vintage pieces.
Over to you :)
Some history here, http://forums.watchuseek.com/f11/joy...es-726015.html
I thought I had one in the drawer somewhere...

My contribution (last picture not my own but of my watch):
What a great thread. Super cool watches. Keep 'em coming Enicar owners.
Yep - some crackers here, particularly the Sherpa Jet and Star Diver.
Please keep them coming, and if anyone has any shots of the large 70s man-cased 340 auto, then I'd be particularly keen to take a look :)
I found this one in a Budapest street market some years back, and it's going strong to this day:
Remarkable variety of watches from them in this thread...
Enicar are a great vintage brand, definitely one of my favourites along with Favre Leuba and Nivada Grenchen.
I've had a few over the years, including that superb one witht he multi-tone dial that John has posted a pic of above.
Currently I have this fabulous Sherpa Guide World Time in proper original unmolested condition:

These are properly big and hefty pieces, unsually so for the era, as they are about 44mm exc crowns IIRC.
So clever my foot fell off.
Thanks for posting this thread, always great to learn something more.

This is a terrific thread! I'm learning about some great watches and a brand which was mostly alien to me!
I bought from a retired watchmaker a nos Sherpa date and another day-date model:

Enicar -----> Racine any connection ?
The Sherpa world time up here.. wow !
Yup - think about Racine backwards: http://the-watching.blogspot.co.uk/2...ar-jewels.html
The Enicar brand by Racine sure had some timeless designs. Although now owned by a Chinese (co. consortium or whatever) I really can't believe the brand lays in mothballs.
Given there seems to be a resurgence of older designs and names with recognition I am surprised Enicar isn't used to it's current owners advantage.
Saw lots of advertising for Enicar in mainland China and Hong Kong when I was over there during the summer. Just run of the mill modern stuff though. These vintage models look super.
Some seriously nice vintage divers here...
Mine:
Some really nice watches here, especially live super compressors, simply stunning!
Wow.. didn't know Enicar did make so much nice watches. Love some of them!!
Some very pretty watches there. I learn more every day.
^yes. I liked those two also.
Sherpas are lovely. Id like to own one.
I have always regretted letting this one go......
GREAT thread.....I have been after a Star Jewel Sherpa 300 diver, but have yet to find one of these beauties:
