Thread: A change of strap can make a big difference...

A change of strap can make a big difference...

I've just swapped the bracelet on my Speedy Date for a Hirsch Buffalo strap (black with white stitching) and I'm really pleased with the result. Got a satin finish Omega buckle too. The strap is 20mm but I very carefully trimmed it down to fit on the 19mm lugs.

I went for the Buffalo as it's one of the straps that Hirsch do in a smaller size. I'm glad I did. I will post an after shot tomorrow but here is the before shot...

It looks great. I need to pull my finger out and order a strap to give me another option to the bracelet on my AT.

Generally I'd say that most watches look better on a leather strap , especially with the contrast stitching.
However, IMHO, that Speedy looks so much nicer on the bracelet.
Always nice to have the option though.

I like it on the bracelet too. By the title of the thread I was simply meaning, a strap can really change the look of a watch. As you say, when I fancy a change I'll pop the bracelet back on.

It's definitely nice to have the option. When you 'get bored' of the strap just swap back. Two watches for the price of one
