    New member introduction

    Hi chaps

I hope you are enjoying your weekends so far and my UK brethren are looking forward to a nice long bank holiday.

I'm Geoff from Brighton and, well, I like watches (amongst other things...but mostly watches).

That's it for now - see you around

Thanks - I like it too. I'm leaning more toward dressier pieces these days I think.

Thanks! Not too shabby - there are some preowned shops in the Lanes that sell all sort of goodies, Watches of Switzerland (not quite as good since they dropped their JLC line) and your Goldsmiths etc. London is better!

I was hoping there'd be some locals. You guys ever have meets? I have no WIS friends!

Hello, I thought that I recognised a familiar name from WUS and I was right. Don't know if you have noticed me there, but I use the wus alias "ancient_mariner". I like your Dievas, nice looking watch.

Well aren't you a friendly bunch. I won't reply to you all individually(!) buy thank you, and great to see some local Brits, and familiar faces Citizen V and Keke (yep - I know who you are!)

I thought I'd diversify my browsing a bit.

    Welcome to the forum

Purely by coincidence, I just found your review of your Nomos on YouTube - great review of an even better watch. More like that please.

Thanks. I did a video review of the Datum because there were no others at the time. It was a bit long(!) but I'm a watch nerd and can talk about it for hours, so 6 minutes was quite reserved. Next time I get a piece that's seemingly rare I'll be sure to do another review - definitely.

Welcome from Durham, Geoff! Is that the 38mm or the 35 mm Orion? Looks beautiful next to the other watches, a real standout!

    Thanks!

38mm datum Weiss with display back.

Haven't been so active here - as I say tbh I joined for the gtgs, but I'm just in the final stages of buying a house so I've been busy.
