Interestingly, Bill Yao said on another forum that his watches/dials with date outsell those without by a margin of 9:1.
No idea about the mod per se, but I sypathize with the need for a date indication.
The PRS 14 is my dream watch, with one exception. I need a date on any watch I own. My question is will a MK II dial fit in the PRS 14? I want to mod the watch with the MoD date dial. I wonder if the soft iron dial adds thickness that the MK II dial doesn't have. Also is the diameter the same?
If any one has done this mod, a picture would be great.
thanks!

Because of the way that I work, the date matters little to me. More important is the day, and week of the term. So, today, for example, is Tuesday of 4th week. It is going to be hard to get that on a dial, but it could be done. ;)
Best wishes,
Bob
doesn't the PRS-14 have a soft iron dial to help with the antimag rating? If so then wouldn't the replacement have to be the same material?
I think you run the risk of ruining a great watch.
Better to see it as it is now, a non-date watch, but all of a piece.
Let's face it, you'll have the date on your mobile(s).
Don't do it! You would stuff up a beautiful watch. The dial of the PRS-14 is one of its best points. None of the MIIk dials even come close.
Don't people have calendars anymore. :?:

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.
Hell fire!!
I thought I stayed up late!!
I wont be filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, debriefed, I am not a number, I am a free man, my life is my own!!!
Be seeing you
Toodle pip

I on the other hand wish the PRS-17 had NO date...
