I will be sticking to the old model.....Cheap batteries and not too huge. I wanted to like the new one... even ordered one before i'd seen it or heard the price. Unless i get a huge amount off I won't be collecting it.
Thing is, diving watches are actually usable for their supposed purpose. 50m WR on a watch that is supposed to be worn when in situations where you can require emergency services? I'm seeing pictures of polar explorers, seas and helicopters. Your watch would stop working if you were actually stuck in rough seas or in a heap of snow, in dire need of some Breitling helicopters to come and save you.

Titanium, too. I'm oot. Prefer the Mission.
Too expensive and why such low WR rating??

Gulp how much
The writing design on the bezel is appalling. The W looks like some lettering from The Goodies.
The emergency battery is rechargeable, the whole watch slots into a charging station ( it has battery contacts on the side of the case) and every two months the emergency battery will require recharging. It is also massive, I've just got back from Basel and had a look at it behind closed doors and while it is very well made it won't be for everybody.

£12,000 and 51mm.
Is it aimed solely at oversized, steroid munching oligarchs with a penchant for potholing?
Only shallow potholing, though.
Its over priced, oversized and over the top.
The emergency part may be legitimate of you fly or sail places where noone else knows where you are, but even a red arrows pilot can't crash without 8 others knowing exactly where he or she is!
But daft and 12k is just silly.
^^^^^^
No, true, but it's a guarantee that a 200m dive watch will survive a good soaking, or just jumping in the sea. So a modest dive watch still has utility for a non-professional.
You could extend the argument to the 3,900m WR DSSD, or a 15,000 Gauss Omega, though. Technically advanced with capabilities beyond any user (although those two watches are at least wearable).
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
It's not a dive watch.
In fairness, assuming actual 50m resistance, if you're a pilot and that far down you're probably already dead so won't be able to activate the transmitter lol!!
Anyway, £11995 is 10,000 reasons too many why the water resistance is completely irrelevant IMHO!
Its overkill. Such pity.
