State of the Collection (SOTC) March 2013

Well there have been some movers and shakers this month. Out went the Rolex GMTIIC and Omega Seamaster Quartz (aka Bond) and Omega Planet Ocean 8500 45.5mm. But soon to be replaced by the 'SkyFall' Blue AT and also the Submariner

So here stands my current set:

Now if it hadn't been my fathers probably the Rolex Blue Air-King-Date would be on its way out in preference to the Omega AT..

This is what it looked like just a year ago

    Evening All!

    Excellent spread

Great range of watches there, covers a lot of bases.

Can't help but think that the Rolexes are trying to duff up that gorgeous Patek :)

I like the Air King most of all, although that old Sub comes a close second.

Nice collection you got Martyn. How come the Breitling shows a different time - battery empty?

    Nice.

PP & the SD stand out for me.

Great collection. Not that there was anything wrong with the last SOTC, but I think you've now got a really good balance between divers, sporty, dressy and techy. As I said earlier, the AT is a great allrounder, for almost any price-bracket. (Although, to be fair, the Air King is also a great "wear with anything" watch).

Lovely! I have to have an Aqua Terra at some point, just can't bring myself to shift the PO to free up the funds.

Well rounded collection. Love that Blue Aqua Terra. I think that's going to have to go on my wish list for this year!

That's a proper little collection you have there. Definitely prefer the current line up.

No. It's in its power saving mode: 'BAT'. Which means hardly any battery power is drawn while stored.

That Patek is a beauty. Loved to own one. Maybe one day...

I think that's very balanced with something to wear for all occasions, but the 2 subs are too similar.

That's a great collection. The Patek is stunning. Did you buy that new or manage to source it used?

I'm not sure I'd ever manage to take it off if I owned it!

The Air-King is the second nicest watch there, IMHO. Don't sell it.
