I would give my left testiclod for a good pint of Guiness or Greene King IPA.
Failing that, give me a jug of good port or red wine, otherwise known as 'goon'.
I recommend 'Chalk's Bite' by Sharp's brewery - it's a very tasty lager, apparently brewed with wild fennel which gives it a distinct flavour... and at 6.8% it's not light but works well in a smaller glass... one of my absolute favourites, if you can find it! - there is also a 'Chalky's Bark' - less alcoholic and brewed with ginger, nice but prefer the bite over the bark. Apparently the 'joke' is that Rick Stein's dog, Chalky, had a bite that was worse than his bark hence the stronger beer being named the bite... or so the story goes.

Anything from brew dog is good drinkin'
In no particular order...1) Harvey's. 2) Harvey's. 3) Harvey's.
Stone IPA. Great stuff.
Ted
Guinness, Mackesons Stout, Leffe. Partial to the old wife beater too.
Delirium Tremens. HIC.
I like lots but my all time favourite is Bath ales Gem.
I'm looking forward to trying one of these in the future.

Leffe!
The third one .........................usually means "out to play"
Some great choices so far. I love proper IPAs of any strength as long as they're fresh, and it's difficult to find a bad traditional Belgian beer. Not sure what Newcastle, Peroni, Corona or any other beer that comes in a light/clear bottle is doing on this list, though.
A mate of mine makes the one on the right and it's good, as is the Mikkeller product:
If I had to pick one as an outright favourite, though, it would probably be this one:
Not for drinking in quantity, however.
You'll not get one Belligero. They stopped selling unpasteurised Guinness a few years ago. The stuff you buy in Ireland is now the same as you buy in the UK unfortunately.
this is the only drinkable Guinness these days...

marchingontogether!
Franziskaner is lovely if you like wheatbeer, Tesco's own finest stuff is nice too.
Lia Fail and Ossian are well worth checking out.
I love the Brew Dog and Innis and Gunn's stuff too.
Amazes me folk buy crap lager when we are spoiled with so many amazing beers.
I happened to go reluctantly into the chav magnet that is Tesco yesterday (the nearest grocery emporium to home, and I was in a hurry - usually a Waitrose man, you understand) and they have a range of bottled beers at "3 for £5". They also have the unremarkable but drinkable Banks's Bitter for £1 for a 500ml bottle.
Ghastly place, but I felt that it would be rude not to take advantage.

Ian
Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
In a very particular order....
- Timmy Taylor's Landlord
- London Pride
- Tsing Tao
Isn't it odd how some beers are so much to one person's taste and totally the opposite to others. A friend of mine loves a good pint of Tetleys ( a good pint mind, he reckons some 90% of pubs pour a rubbish pint of it), where i think it's the devil's spawn......maybe I've just tried the bad pubs...
Very partial to draught Arkell's 3B.
I had an interesting beer the other night...from Stonehenge Ales it is called Sign of Spring. Its green...very green!

Beers that I've enjoyed recently include;
Cains Dragon Heart
Shepherd Neame 1698
Hobsons Old Henry
Beartown Bearskinful
Timothy Taylor Landlord
Old Chimneys 'Golden Pheasant' a local brew here in Suffolk from my village
Pinkneys lager (Munster -Germany)
Andy
Guinness 1st Choice.
Brains Black 2nd Choice
And Weirdly Seeing though as I'm off lager for life.... Carling Premier
Spingo Special from the Blue Anchor
Duvel for something that can be found locally year-round.
Westvleteren is amazing, but don't know if I'll ever make it back to Belgium to enjoy again.
Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout for something you need to elbow others away from the bartender at Founders events to get.
I like most cask beers and I also like a lot of German beers too.
Ossett Brewery in West Yorkshire make some good beers and they're always consistent. Black Sheep's another I like but it can vary a bit.
For a drink at home I favour Marstons Pedigree in cans, original Tetley Bitter (not the creamflow shit), and Newcastle Brown. Temperature is important with ales, don`t serve them too cold.
I`m quite partial to Lidl's own-brand German lager too. Real McCoy imported stuff and it's nice.
Can`t stand the 'smooth' beers, majority of them just don`t taste right.

Being a lager drinker I usually opt for Peroni or Stella but I had a bottle of (UK brewed) Curious Brew today and it was honestly the nicest lager I've ever had.
And did I mention that it was brewed here in England too?!?
Rolex Root Beer....
