I got one from Tesco for £8 and its a cracker, mine is a decent spec kitchen although not high end and it fits in well, worth a look!
I need a new wall clock for the kitchen. I originally fancied one of the Mondaine ones - but they don't get very good reviews on Amazon. I then saw the radio controlled Braun ones for around £35- but they're quite small (200mm) and also have no glass, so maybe not the best to have in a kitchen.
Does anyone have any interesting suggestions please? I'm looking for a clock suitable for a kitchen, under £50 - radio controlled would be good.
thanks
Steve

I've got one of these from Habitat and the second hand sweeps rather than ticks. But the barometer might play havoc in the kitchen.

Deffo get a RC model . Lascelles used to do a 'Swiss railway ' model that had mondaine styling but with the period feel of a smiths sectric . Well within budget .

Well we've got a Mondaine one that rather neatly matches my wife's Mondaine - and it seems to work just fine; y'know, ticks, tells the time, doesn't fall off the wall. Admittedly it doesn't tell you the barometric pressure in the Orkneys, but it does what a clock should...
The Smiths ones look good too, though.

Hi Steve,
I had one of the radio controlled ones from Braun and it packed it in just after going out of warranty. No help form Braun either as it was "out of warranty" so I would not recommend one from them.
I would suggest something from Seiko, good quality, name brand as well.
Smiths, eight-day mechanical wall clock. Loses about a minute a day. Loud, but lovely:

Thanks - what I should have asked is does it have an external sensor that can be mounted outside so it tells you the temperature and pressure outside, rather than in the room the clock is in. I've had a look at the website and there's no mention of a separate sensor - so I guess it doesn't?
thanks
