RAF Regimental one piece nylon watch strap

    Hi

Does anyone know of a manufacturer who makes a one piece nylon watch strap with cloth keeper in the RAF colours. The only one I can find are the G10 NATO straps.

    Thanks

They can suddenly tell the time in the RAF Regt? Progress indeed! ;)

Josh we were using watches when I was but a young PO in the Regiment, over 30 years ago and were fully proficient in time telling activates. Not that we necessarily told the correct time I hasten to add, but that is a minor detail.

Pebble monkey? Is this a natural evolution from rock ape?

No it a Darwinistic retro-grade step; like a 'Gravel Gibbon', inferred insult but with reverential respect.

This was not meant to be a thread about the RAF Regt. But a watch strap in RAF colours with a cloth keeper but not G10 style as can be brought from smart turnout.

If anyone interested found this guy on the bay selling G10 ones, very good quality. He is called the military watch strap co from Lossiemouth.

If somebody can give me the pattern and Pantones for the colours, I'll think about it.

Would pictures be any good? I have two but can only find one. The other 5 I ended up giving to lads in work.

I really needthe Pantones to ensure a good colour match. If you Google any regimental colours, the pictures returned show a wide range of different colours.

We really do need some 22 and 24 mm ones too.

2 piece band is also very useful for us who do not like G10 style straps. There was a place I think called Regimental Straps who used to do an 18mm 2 piece, but they only do G10 ones now. Need 20mm 2 piece bands in RAF colours.

That's the baby. Could do with 2 piece straps on 18mm & 20mm sizes. Just not into NATO's.

I favour the one with the fabric keeper.

Ah, but would the stripes be length ways or across on the cloth keeper? If you could line up the stripes that would look pretty impressive imho.

That would involve making two widths of ribbon and be quite expensive. Note that the 2-piece is double thickness when compared with a NATO and uses more nylon than a NATO.

Ah, yes I can see that now you mention it. I'd be happy with a regular G10, or RAF style NATO.....as long as it had the correct colours!
The hard ware on your new dark grey NATO is prefect and would potentially get around the issue of matching the stripes....

Nice, what colours are you planning?

Has Eddie any idea when they will be available, as would be wanting to buy a 18, 20 & 22mm one when available.
