    Ebel watch straps

Just bought an Ebel Classic with the screw-in strap. Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for getting a replacement strap. Is Ebel the only option, or are there 3rd party manufacturers who make this type?

    You could try Rich (Toshi).
He once did a rivet type strap with screws for me.

Luckily My E-type has a bracelet...........

Cheers. I don't think Rich does them, but I've contacted ABP who apparently do. Failing that, anyone recommend an Ebel AD that will discount?

update: ABP don't do the screw-in straps. However, for €250 they will modify the case and lugs so that it takes springbars. I'm not a big strap changer (my first ever visit to the Leather, Rubber, Nylon sub-forum was yesterday) so I'm not going to go for it, but it might be useful for any other Ebel owners. If anyone wants the details drop me a PM and I'll forward the email.

I would say shop around a few AD's maybe even try emailing Ebel if you have any problems. Finally there is always the Bay!!!

You need to ring Swisstec, the non Omega division of Swiss Time Services, they are the official Ebel place in the UK now,and supply straps etc.

Thanks. I have got 2 Ebels and know that straps will be difficult to get due to the unique screw in attachment. If anyone manages to get a price it will be great to know. I suspect it will not be cheap.

    Definitely a last resort.

    Update:

Heard back from Ebel yesterday. Black or brown calf straps are £130. Alligator is £300. It's an outrageous price for two small strips of leather, but still not as bad as I'd feared.
Will see today if I can get a better price from an AD, otherwise I'll go ahead and order one.
