Thread: Show of your mesh!!

    Show of your mesh!!

So lately I have been hankering for a retro diver that's not a Seiko (I'm soon going to need a separate box just for Seiko!!), and I've decided I really want to try a mesh strap.

So, show me your mesh/watch combo's to whet my appetite!! The more retro the better, lol!! A PRS-50 'no rad' would be right up there for me, but keen to some others!

It looks like Seiko SKX007 modded, it looks great.

Some awesome looking pieces - thanks for the suggestions!

The Ploprofs look great, but sadly out of my price range!

The BP50 (and so PRS-50) are still up there as fave's for me, and the KonTiki Super. Really like the look of the Seiko mod, would love to see some more of that.

Another more realistic option for me would be the Accutron Snorkel - think they look great on mesh as well.

I owned that same model of Seiko Superior, which came on a rubber strap, but looks absolutely smashing on mesh. As a matter of fact, that mesh looks a lot like the bracelet I had on mine, which went with the watch when I sold it. For all I know, you may have gotten that watch from the guy I sold it to

I'm with you, and that's precisely how I plan to do it.

Great photos gents. If I may: how are meshes with arm hair? Nothing angers me more than a bracelet that doubles as a hair removal tool.

No problem at all for me, they are solid, closed rings, so nothing to get your hair stuck into. Same goes for where the rings meet. I think I have hair enough to be able to tell you that:

The only hair pullers I know of are the old, folded links bracelets.

before the omega buckle coil broke

after the omega bukle coil broke and I slipped on an aftermarket seiko type buckle

I have to say that the omega mesh on the squale is the best match I found ever, this watch was born for a mesh!

Received this Omega style mesh from http://www.tungchoywatch.com/ yesterday after waiting a while for them to restock this particular model. Really pleased with the look and easily fits my wrist which was a concern with the Omega mesh. Surprised to see this dispatched from the UK, only ordered on boxing day and no import duties either
