I believe the the serial number is telling us something about the release date........as it does for the California ;-)

Ahh good old watchuseek. You just can't beat it to raise a smile and a giggle sometimes. Some great comments there
Maybe I'm thick, but the serial suggests February 2013?
Smashin', cheers for the update, squire
I have a suggestion for 22mm Nato's or Rhino's.
The orange stripe "Sheffield" bond, but in 22mm please.
I still need one in 22mm for the PRS-3 LE Orange.
Seems a bit bizarre that this project is finally coming to fruition - with a target delivery date no less! Looks lovely Eddie and, as with all your watches, I'm sure it'll be much better in the metal.
I can feel Eddie's pain from here (I wish he'd been willing to take deposits back when this project started, I surely wouldn't have minded waiting).
I like Simon's reverse auction idea, but it would seem to favor those of means and would probably lead to more speculators getting DN-GMTs than hobbyists. I also like the eBay option as it would be the fairest to Eddie and a nice bonus for all the work he's put into developing this model over the past 8+ years. But I don't think he'd go that way, unfortunately.
So my proposal is something I wish Sinn/WatchBuys had done with the re-release of the EZM-1 in 2008 (WB sold 50 watches in about 2 minutes). I was downrange and never had a hope of making a purchase online with the lousy internet access I had. If they had run a lottery, whether I had won or not at least I would have had a fighting chance. I suggest Eddie puts all the names of interested parties in a hat and draws out 99 of them. Better yet, a combination of the eBay and lottery ideas would see him selling lottery tickets: a profit bonus for him and everyone has a chance.
I'll end my post with some shots of DN51, which has been just about everywhere with me over the past 8 years.
Please put me down for 1 - I would love no: 5 but would be happy just to be on the list

huge thumbs up for the design, looks terrific,
if this makes any difference at all to the allocation process (fingers crossed it does)
I'd really like no 77 please
good luck everyone
If possible would love #16
Not mandatory
New to UK, use lomco on tz-wus-ebay.................
Probably way too late to this GMT party!
Even so, if someone doesn't come through for any reason, I'd be in there like a shot, don't care what the number is.
Cheers Eddie
I want one, but at the same time I'm not sure my 7'' wrist can pull it off. I'm i wrong or the L2L is 54 or 55mm on this one?
I've been looking forward to this for a long time. Number 39 or 13 or 61 please (to complement numbed 139).
Ash
Great looking watch, would love to be on the list!
I am happy to trial the watch in preparation for the launch :)
It's just a matter of time...
Eddie,
Number not important,as long as I can get one. Please put me down for one.
Paul
Yes please, I'll take one and I'm not bothered about the numbering.
Many thanks
Roy
No chance of getting this reading from the earlier posts :-(
Highly amused at the level of crease kissing going on in this thread
Loots of price speculation....... seeing as the old watch appears to have leveled at £1500 > If I were the maker this would be my starting point.
Must be infuriating to see how much has been made subsequently by individuals on the original.
I'd imagine the originals were sold at a price Eddie was happy with, and I imagine it a tremendous achievement to sell a product with a much higher perceived value than foreseen.

Beeing one of the lucky people who bought the original DN from Eddie in 2003, I'll be happy to get any number available - if there is a remote chance of getting a special number I'll go with my birthyear '67 or 19 as my original DN.
I had the watch for almost 5 yrs until I swapped it (straight!) for a Rolex Expl. 1.
Bottomline - put me on the list (if there is any).
Merry Christmas to all, and of course specially to Eddie for letting us spend our time on this great forum!
Whoops,
Just noticed this rather late, if it is indeed acting as a reservation list and there is any space, I'll take any number. Always loved all of Eddie's creations that I've bought and never had the chance to see a DN in the flesh. I feel this might be a tad optimistic now though.
Cheers,
Dan.
Looks fantastic.
Will the sequel be as good as the original? Looks good so far.
Seb.
14,02,71, or 41 would be nice
Thanks...
76, 15, 17, 10 or what ever will be available.
Pretty please:-)
Martin
Just registering interest so Eddie can gauge supply and demand. I imagine these will be first come first served as with other sales.
I am happy to road test the watch for a few months before launch ;)
It's just a matter of time...
Yes please - no 64, or 100 not fussed ;)
Sorry if this info has been posted elsewhere.....but is there an estimation of the price on this beauty ?
I'd love No: 63 if its available :)
Cheers

I come out of TZ-UK hiding for the first time in MONTHS and there is a new-Dreadnought Feeding Frenzy on!
Oh heck, where do I sign?
I would love number 37 (to go with My PRS 'Radio Room', DA37 and DA47, all of which are serial 37!).
Or maybe 141 to go with my PRS-2 :)
Okay, if there is only going to be 100, it will just have to be number 37!

I arrived on the forum too late for the original Dreadnought. The closest I got was to buy a 2254.50 from a member who was raising the funds to pay for the last Dreadnought that Eddie sold, some considerable time after they were otherwise 'sold out'. Those were the days - an unworn 2254.50 cost me £630 and I got to admire / drool over his new Dreadnought.
This time around I want one - any number will be ok. 2013 is (supposed) to be my year to reduce the collection but this is one I want to add.
Absolutely right! Securing one is far more important than a particular number, but I'd like to know a price if that's possible Eddie as I need to know whether I can even be in the race. Even ball-park would help i.e. greater then / less than £xxx.
(If you want to send me a cheeky PM I won't tell anyone )
