You went for a new PRS5 then in the end then, I was going to go for one of the 17's but had to leave for work so as usual I never get a chance in these situations, I will have to wait for a used one or not worry about it.

Surely those that missed out have been contacted by now?
    No despatch email here.

    Arrived

Pretty decent service, I must say.

But obviously wasn't one of the first to order, as doesn't have the 12-hr bezel.

Not looking very hopeful for me.
I got my confirmation of order at 9.08, and haven't had any despatch e-mail.
However, I have't had a "hard cheese" e-mail either, so I am still keeping my fingers crossed.

After more than a day of pure torture I finally got the email I was dreading. I assumed that because £203.20 had been charged to my card that I was successful. Unfortunately not. To say I'm gutted is an understatement. Hopefully the money is credited back to my card as quick as it was taken. (It hasn't by the way , still £203.20 down)
Hopefully I don't have to wait that long again to be told I'm a failure.
Enjoy your PRS-17c's, It's a great looking watch.

Don't worry, it won't be long before the first one is flipped. Just keep a close eye on SC :-)

Never mind, Guyincognito. it's not all bad news! I got my confirmation at 08:41 and don't officially know yet know if I ordered in time. However, if Eddie says there were only two orders more than watches available and esulp (08:44) and sweets (09:08) both got their confirmations after me, then barring any delays/quirks with (what I assume to be) the automated order confirmations, then I'm all right Jack! Get In!!! And here's me fretting eh?

in all seriousness though, if I am fortunate enough to have nabbed one and I don't bond with it, I'll give you first refusal fella.

My order was accepted, confirmed and credit card charged at 09:17. I think I'm the only one who's order was cancelled. If you ordered before that you'll be fine.

These do appear on Sales Corner from time to time and a 'Wanted To Buy' can work wonders so I wouldn't lose heart.

Two people should have, but unfortunately not me. I've emailed Fricker to see if they can help out though, I'll post here if they can.

  42. #192
I was one of the lucky people and spent earlier this morning doing my first bezel change to get this.

Ideally I'd have liked to be able to get a black date wheel and white seconds hand so may try emailing Fricker to enquire about those.

I hope they do have some left. Id also like to buy a 12h bezel if they are still available.

Human rights and all that crap spring to mind,If you don't tell me I will have to sue for mental torture, and if this has you frightened {which it should} then I'm prepared to settle out of court for a Dreadnought GMT.....See you in court,OR just send the Dreadnought.

Anybody know how much these Tutima field chronos were? I would hazard a guess that they would be a bit more than £195!!!

I wondered the same, I've not seen one for sale though. I think a Sinn and a Yema used the PRS-17 case also.

Mine arrived just now in Sydney. I like that it came with another zip-up travel case, rather then a tube. The last watch that came in such a case was my #26 Speedbird III.

I emailed Fricker last week about the 12 hour bezel; alas, no answer as yet.
