Thread: Do you have any spare time and want to learn something new ?

Do you have any spare time and want to learn something new ?

How about considering a short course from a reputable university and without it costing you a penny ? Too good to be true? Well there's no formal qualification at the end of it and the course's on offer are a little limited in scope as well as everything being online but if you've always wanted to dip into a subject matter without going through the formalities or paying for it, this is well worth a consideration.

If you have an Apple device it's also worth looking at iTunes U. There are a lot of excellent free courses on it on a huge range of subjects.

Excellent post- no excuse to be bored on a Sunday now.

Additionally its worth looking at Open Yale: http://oyc.yale.edu/
For example, there are lots of lectures by Robert Shiller, one of the worlds most influential economists.

There are actually quite a few universities that offer free online courses. MIT have full degree courses in just about everything. They're good too.
