They look really good - can see one of those on the wall at home and office :)

When Smiths stopped making timepieces they licensed the trademark to Roger Lascelles Clock, who continued to make Smiths wall clocks. When I registered the trademark, I contacted Roger Lascelles and offered them a free licence to continue making clocks, which they were happy to accept. This arrangement is a "win-win" for both of us because have no interest in making clocks because of the huge storage required and the logistics of shipping large boxes.
Roger Lascelles has now introduced a comprehensive range of clocks in the classic styles and they can be seen here (unless I can get the pdf catalogue to display):

I think they've made a great job of it.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".

i like the bakelite one in particular, seem to be good prices as well.
Excellent news Eddie and after seeing nothing but patent and trademark wars on the news it's nice to see some goodwill exists in business.
I think they have done a great job and more than reasonable prices, be interesting if someone has a view on quality too.
Very much liking the Smiths Sectric with a sweeping red second hand - have a feeling this my end up on my office wall.

after all the kerfuffle about the 6105 homage, it's nice
to see a positive arrangement. Definitely win-win.
Back in 1995 I was working in an office that was due a total refurb and we moved out.
I rescued this off the wall, as you do...
It never worked and has a bit of WABI, so I have it hanging on the wall in my garage, just as an ornament...
Nice to see them back!!
Just ordered the Electric for my office, thanks for the heads up.
Talking about Smiths clocks I got this one at a auction years ago for $25.00 US it needed a service and the glass crystal replace over the dial that I got at Otto Frie.Don't know what year this was made. All I know is I have never seen another Smiths Regulator clock like this one. Most I seen on line are vintage mantel and none regulator wall clocks made by Smiths.

Some great designs. Will keep this in mind when I change the kitchen clock.
Nice to see a win-win in business too.
Just spent an enjoyable half hour on the clock website, thanks for the link.

Did anyone pickup a clock from here then? Thoughts?
Guess I would have done if I didn't have to carry it out to Saudi.
We bought a Sectric for bathroom. Pretty clock, lovely sweeping second hand and no noise that I can discern. I haven't been over it with a loupe (it's a bathroom clock after all) but it seems a decent bit of kit.
thanks to for the info gents. i am awaiting postage cost for a rather lovely looking vintage red wall clock
...from an incredibly nice chap.
1950 Smiths eight-day clock. Bakelite and in excellent condition. Rather pleased...
Would the Trademark have been enforceable since they had already been using the name in commerce before you?
I had a name i was going to trademark in the USA and then realised someone was already using the same name in commerce in the same market that i was going to target, so i didn't bother trademarking it as i didn't think i would be able to enforce the trademark as they had already used the name before me.
