Welcome aboard, great username - do you have a Triton with clip-ons and rear-sets?
Hello Everyone!
I've just joined and am looking forward as a watch collector to hopefully being able to contribute usefully to this excellent forum
Just a brief intro about my watch history, if I may? I bought my first 'proper' watch in 1996, a TAG Heuer 1500. Smashing watch! I no longer own it but it was a very reliable and well designed quality watch that more than served it's purpose to set the standard in my personal world of many decent horological pieces that followed it's footsteps
A fair amount of watches have been bought since, some have gone, most in my current collection are 'keepers'. Famous last words, I know!
Generally speaking all the watches in my collection mainly:
1. have automatic movements
2. around 38mm case size (I have 7 inch wrists so not keen on going too big, just have the one 42mm)
3. sport/deskdiver look, i.e. uni-directional bezel
4. non-chronograph, I used to have a few chronographs but as most of my watches now are automatic, thesedays I much prefer the sweep of a large second hand. Also, chronographs on 38mm cases can sometimers look a bit too complicated and fussy, purely my personal opinion, that's all!
5. coloured dials
6. they all get an equal amount of wrist time
Thanks for reading! Watches listed below in my signature are in alphabetical order
Cheers, Mark
Breitling Colt A17350 (blue)
Omega SMP 2552.80.00 (blue)
Oris C7401 (light yellow)

TAG Heuer 6000 (copper)

Hi and welcome, some nice watches you have there, post up some pics.
Hello and welcome.

Welcome aboard
Hi and welcome.
Another welcome from me. Hope you enjoy the forum
Hi and welcome. Nice user name too!
Thanks everyone for the friendly welcome! @SimonK, nope I never had a Triton. Used to have a Ducati Monster that I'd caff'd with clip-ons and rear-sets. A couple of years later that went in favour of a Triumph Thruxton with clip-ons but normal foot pegs as my bones were getting just that bit older and tired.....
Here's a couple of pics, hopefully they're in the right size format (below 800 width)
The Oris twins first:
Not bad for a 16-year old watch:

Welcome! Great username!
I have recently got a 61 Norton 500 Single which has been caff'd
I think watches and motorcycles are a great combo!
Good morning to you, welcome to the forum.

Although no trees were harmed during the creation of this post, a large number of electrons were greatly inconvenienced.
Hello and welcome. Nice varied collection.
I'd like to see a pic of the bike too.

Good morning sir and welcome aboard. I do hope you enjoy your stay here with us.

Whilst not a Seamaster model I can ever see myself owning I still love the look of this; it's almost as though I want to dislike it but can't, something which is made even harder by the gorgeous contrast between the electric blue dial and the perfectly formed patina of the lume...stunning!
Just out of curiosity where have you sent the 6000 for servicing?
Oh and before I forget, welcome to TZ-UK!
Welcome - always good to see a couple of Oris in a collection, looking forward to the pictures.
Hi and welcome!
Great "Rainbow" collection!!
hiya, varied collection you have, these places open up varied brands and will impact on the wallet!
Hi MST, TAG Heuer 6000 is at TAG Heuer service centre. I realise I could get the servicing done cheaper at an independent but I've never had an issue with Manchester.
Hi Barton, the pair of Oris's (or should it be Orisi ?) down in the thread was just taken a couple of weeks ago but I've since taken the SS mesh off the red one and it's back to standard bracelet. The C7401 series was very underated. I saw a green dial advertised just last week on eBay, first time I've ever seen a green one.
Yes you're correct Stewart, James May also has a Moto Guzzi, his is a California from the late 70's. Ewan McGregor is also a Guzzi die-hard too. Earlier this year I had a nice little chat at my bike dealer with Eric Richard who played Sgt Cryer in the Bill for years. Nice bloke. Owns a Guzzi Stelvio.
So, for any bike fans here's a pic of my Moto Guzzi Bellagio :
And so as to not upset anyone by posting a pic of a motorbike, here's a couple of pics of Precista PRS-3 on SS mesh.......sitting on the bike! Not the same SS mesh mentioned above though as Oris is 18mm lug, Precista is 22mm:
Cheers!
Mark
