    Yes please

    It's a good start.... I see a taste of Certina DS-2.

By the way, I have just expressed my interest in your (Sewills) Chronograph project in a different thread. But if the Smiths Diver comes to market first...

    Looks damn cool.

Too much teasing going on the Timefactors forum at the moment. It felt like it shut down over Summer, and now every day there are more quality posts on it :-)

Would love to see if this gets made though as a couple of others that are in the pipeline are going to be a bit big for my little wrists :-(

If you've seen the dial on a similar watch then you've seen the dial on this.

Good choice, its a classic design from the past that Seiko should have kept with.

Now this looks very promising. If I would only know if they are to be sold on bracelet or rubber strap....

I would have to order 500 bracelets to get the correct one so I'm planning to supply on a waffle strap.

You could always do a LE Edition, with 2 bracelets, one to wear one spare or maybe one brushed, one not.

Excellent let's see how similar it is. Does he have a little more detail? (Well, he has now that I've posted the drawings).

This has been on the drawing board for almost a year, the delay was sourcing the bevelled sapphire crystal, whick I believe is essential.

THAT, is a great idea, for a top selling watch!
Would you possibly be considering a miyota movement by any chance?
I'm not sure if irony is your thing.

Will the crystal be flat or domed?

That means you have the crystal and movements, what will the dial/hands and bezel look like?

The drawing shows a beveled flat crystal - less reflections and less prone to scratches/chips.

I for one would be very interested. i don't think you will have any trouble shifting these the 6105 is to Seiko what the Seamaster 300 is to Omega,Iconic. However, I am hoping that it is a close homage to the original.Ie, raised hour markers, same hand shape. I wonder if you will put a raised 'Smiths' on the dial where the original displays 'Seiko' I think that would be real cool. Shame about the bracelet though as I personally think the 6105 looks and wears better on an oyster. There are people though already selling after market bracelets for the 6105 so as long as the lugs are the same shape as the original that will solve that problem. An AR coated sapphire crystal would also be a nice touch. In any event im sure its going to be another iconic Smiths piece. Regards. Kev

I've just come off the phone having had a conversation about a suitable bracelet but with solid end links which will accept 2.5mm springbars.

Is that the same size as the original Seiko fat spring bar? If so, are they readily available to source, if needed?

Flipping heck Eddie. That would be the icing on the cake.Count me in.Can't wait to see what your dial spec is going to be. It's also created a bit of a stir on the SCWF. Mostly positive though especially from members on here. Kev
