I was in Rolex St James' today to have my bracelet adjusted and they used a tweezer type tool to remove the bracelet which looked sooooo much easier than fluffing with one side then the other. Where can you buy these from?
No thats not it. It looked a lot less simpler, like just a piece of metal bent over with pronged ends. Literally looked liked a big pair of tweezers.
I looked at them before and decided that a normal spring bar tool would do.
But these guys are a bitter cheaper than then eBay seller/

What about this........................

Just had a surf and can't find anything that looks like what I saw. Will give them a call in the morning me thinks.
The Yellow tool in the picture below came with a Breitling field tool kit & works in a similar way releasing both ends of the spring bar at the same time.
I saw that too when I took my watch in for a service 3 weeks ago. Literally like wide-spaced tweezers crossed with one of those compasses you used at school, but nowhere near as heavy Duty as a compass. Looked like an incredibly easy way to remove the springbars - I always struggle with the slots in the solid end links on watches with no lug-holes and this little gadget would make it a breeze. Really nice and simple too, with nothing to break or lose.
i want one and i havent even seen it
I have the Bregeon one as it works well, but isn't cheap!
Phoned St James' and apparently you cannot buy the tool they were using to remove the spring bars which was far simpler the the mentioned ones above from Bergeon and Breitling. Ho hum.
No its made by Rolex themselves, any AD can order it....

in my opinion all overrated standard spring bar tool does the job adequately
Personally, I find it best to only invest in the highest quality tools:
excellent mr heath robinson
I'd say 'all in' £1 or so but maybe less if you shop around.
It's worth paying for the spring-loaded action to compress both ends of the spring bar at the same time.
