I gave up on modding a few months back. A series of crap parts meant things didn't fit or snapped when trying to fit.
Anyway, saw this one and had to give it a try.......wish I didn't.
Anyway, started off as a 009
I think I must be going through a bad luck phase.
The dial was marked, the second hand was bent and I swear the dial and crystal where just attracting dust
Anyway after assembling and disassembling 3 times I'm happy it's the best it will be.
Looks sweet on the wrist, just a shame I the 009 I got had a marked case.
Hey ho
Cheaper than a Tudor
That's a nice looking mod. It's a pity that you seem to be discouraged. I felt the same while doing my last mod, the case and crystal between them had some weirdness that meant I destroyed the crystal gasket while trying to refit the crystal. I nearly choked when I found out what the tiny piece of replacement plastic cost!
But it only took a short while before the urge renewed itself and I found myself up to my elbows in a heap of parts again.
That's a lovely looking end result - never done any intentional modding, but with other hobbies and interests, I've found that the best way to deal with ebbing motivation is to go and so something else you enjoy more, then see if the 'love' grows again. If not, then it's always worth remembering it's only a hobby - you're allowed to give it up!
I like it! Saw a version of it on 10watches, and thought: -That's a nice one for once.
Deosn't look unintentional at all. Looks just right!
Don't be too downhearted, it's cracking
Looks ace.
Can I buy that one or will you do one for me?
Martin
Don't get downhearted the watch looks fantastic, if you do fancy making anymore please keep me in mind.
Great end result in my humble opinion.
