Thanks guys. I was quite happy it worked out. Numerous long exposure shots have failed in the past, but that wasn't an option from a moving boat.

I just imported the video into Photo on the MacBook & there is a frame by frame advance option. Once at the desired frame - there is an option to export frame to photos - which writes the frame to the photos folder as a tiff file. Nothing fancy at all really.

I think you are right, it looks very carefully waxed. Nice to see one looking after themselves.

^^^ Very nice. How far away was that?

There is something about distant shots that intrigues me.

I can spend ages looking around this, https://www.willpearson.co.uk/gigapi...-of-the-shard/ at maximum zoom.

Thanks. The wind turbines were about 12 miles away. The thing that struck me was how homogenous the sky and sea were which really made the subjects stand out. Also how massive those turbines are!

Hmmm. Probably a mile out, are they mounted to something via screws through the rear countersunk holes, then with the lozenge shaped bit slid down to cover the screw heads something is clipped into the two holes on the front ?

    Nope.
They're toggles from elasticated ties of an old bag. The cord loops through and the spring loaded lozenge shaped bit grips the cord.

I thought they looked like cartoon skulls.
So will convince someone more arty than me to add the skeletons.

Sneaked in here tonight, with my new purchase a fujifilm X100F to have a play for the first time.

Looks like a Robot to me, the organ that is.

    Lovely.

I used to live in the Llynfi but didn't have a decent camera back then. Some parts of it are stunningly beautiful.

Apparently the tropical storm off the coast of Ireland today had a serious effect on atmospherics, for a few hours we had a bright red sun, captured these terrible images with an i-pad.

    Stress Ball

There is nothing like an exploding stress ball for a bit of light relief on a long journey!

The dog and I were not impressed, but I'm sure once the car is sold and long gone then the memory of cornflour and leather will be forgotten. Unfortunately the car has only a few thousand miles on it.
