My son is locked out of his Hotmail account, no idea why or reason given by Microsoft. He has filled in a form 3 times with answers to confirm his identity but received nothing. He is now using Gmail but would like to pick up emails sent to his Hotmail account, anyone any ideas?

Hotmail is dying; he needs an Outlook.com address but should still be able to receive Hotmail.
Hes gone to Gmail, every interaction I have with MS gives me a headache...
Potentially someone has tried to hack his account and it's been locked out.
The process is painful... essentially you fill in the form and wait. Assuming you provide adequate detail to authenticate yourself MS will unlock the account, but don't expect them to reply quickly.
Dads was locked out last year and he was without for over a week.
my hotmail was hacked about a month ago. I have no idea how it was done as I never enter my password. I couldn't even think what it was.
it maybe he hasnt used it enough happened to me once.
He used it every day and it's been over a week since he filled in the last of 3 re-activation forms.
Beware and don't use hotmail for anything your not prepared to lose.
Is a gmail account a good alternative to hotmail?
In my book yes because it has nothing to do with Microsoft !
