Fabulous looking with a real vintage feel about it. Faux patina seems to be the norm nowadays, well suited to this dial.

    Very interesting

And looking very retro as well.
The seconds counter is, for me at least, unreadable.

    Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!

I presume that the stop watch seconds is on the center pinion, with constant seconds at nine o'clock, and you track elapsed minutes with the bezel? If I've got that right, then wouldn't the stop watch second hand be parked right over the Sinn logo unless you kept the stop watch running all the time?

There is a thread on WUS about it. Apparently it's a tachymetre for measuring speeds up to 300 using the inner dial markings, only usable as a 60 second chrono, a bit like an Omega Chronostop. I like it.

    I bloody love it, hmm..

    New Sinn

Thats a great watch, thanks for sharing. I really like it, except for the Swiss cheese strap, but I don't like those on any watch.

I love it! And I think it's the last (new) Sinn you'll be able to buy for about 1000 GBP!

    Ooh, I like that too.
    Not on that strap though.

    Now that is very tempting.

It looks a total mess to me. Awful. Like about three or four different people designed it. Can they charge £1000 for that?

It should operate as a 1 hour chrono, a bit like the old Seiko one button chrono's. You align the bezel pip to the minute hand then start the chrono, that way you can track elapsed minutes as well as seconds.

I actually like the look of that very much.

Isn't that the same as any other watch with centre chrono seconds?

Anyway, the watch, looks ok in parts. Bit busy. How big is it? 40mm or less and it could be ok. If it's another retro styled but over-sized watch, it's not for me.

Looks nice but kinda pointless (for me at least). Looks like the 103 case so about 40mm and a bracelet would e available!

Really like that Mike, but the inner circles clutter the dial too much for me. It is very attractively priced though!

    Assuming that's a plexi crystal too...nice

    Retro but Odd

Nice retro looks there. But too much going around there for my comfort .

I do not get one thing though- there is no minute counter so how do you track the tachymeter inside with speeds of below 60 kmph .Am I right in saying this ?

Well, yes... any chrono with a 3/6/9 subdial layout. I guess I've gotten so used to 7750s and 5100s that I forget about the other configuration (which I don't own).

I wouldn't mind if they did a a real chrono with the design elements of this tachymeter. Full 103, no numbers, same colour scheme (preferably a bit better coordinated), no day window, but hold the racing strap. That would make me trek to Manufactum in no time

a bit too much going on with dial, i prefer a dial to be less cluttered

  23. #23
It's an interesting watch but it doesn't make me want to buy one.

  24. #24
With a plain face, rather than the chrono graduations spiralling into the centre, it would look gorgeous.

The strap sets it off nicely. I really like Sinn!

  25. #25
That's a lovely Sinn - they're at their best when they do something a little different from the usual fliegers (which are nice, but generic looking).

I don't mind it; the rally strap suits the theme of the watch.

Good work here from Sinn, I reckon.

  27. #27
I generally really like Sinns but I think they have really missed the mark with that one. Too much going on on that dial.

Kind of like it but also kind of don't. Don't like the artificially aged lume and the minute timer function - which seems like either a wilful attempt to create an anachronism, or to create a watch that doesn't really seem to have a function unless you are a storm chaser trying to figure out how far you are away from needing to get the h*ll out of there. Kind of like the shape and it seems quite slim (although that could be the pictures).

Actually, really not a fan of artificially aged lume...it's an affectation too far.

    15.5mm. Rather fat in fact.

I think of it as beige and then I like it
