    Hi from a newbie

    Hi Everyone

This is my first post, after a fair bit of lurking and soaking up some of the incredible watch knowledge you guys have.

So far my humble watch collection numbers just one, and probably isn't one of the best liked around here, being a new sporty Tag Aquaracer WAN2110. However for me it's a huge step up from the usual sub-£50 quartz watches that I've always had before, and it makes me smile just to look at it.

Unfortunately I now seem to have caught the watch bug, and am already planning the next few purchases. Next will be an Orange Monster, as although the Tag is rated to 300m I'm still a little too in love with it to want to even take a small risk of getting water in it. This is stupid. I know this. But it's still true. Besides, it's an excuse for buying another watch.

Then after that it could be a long slow save for an IWC Portuguese auto, which is sort of a grail watch although I'm sure this will change as I learn more and see more of the watches out there. For example, until last week I hadn't ever seen an AP Royal Oak Offshore (yum) so I really am at the happy stage of making new watch discoveries every week.

If it works then there might be a very bad pic of my Tag attached, but I'll try to post a decent one shortly anyway. Maybe at least one of you will share the love for this elegant little beastie...

Hi mate and welcome from a fellow newbie. Like you I lurked here for sometime, but have really enjoyed joining in.
Good luck with the orange monster - but be careful. As you can see from my signature Seiko divers can become addictive!
    All the best.

    Hi from a newbie

    Welcome to the forum shutterbug!

Since joining in April (so not that long ago) I seem to have developed an appreciation for a much, much broader range of watches, as well as a much, much increased expenditure on said watches, which is to be expected [here on TZ-UK] and comes with the territory...BEWARE!

Welcome!! Absolutely nowt wrong with your TAG - I had one of them for years!

If you hang around here for a bit, parting with lots more money starts feeling like a really sensible idea!

Hi Shutterbug, welcome. It is possible to spend less than £50 and get a great watch, just a case of research and hunting one down, which as we all know is most of the fun.

    Cheers
    Jim
