Agree with Zoolander 2, horrible mess of a movie!

Watched ghostbusters earlier, truly awful in every way. I had heard it was watchable, it isn't!

Urge. Utter cack. 4.2 on IMDB should have been a clue I suppose. Pierce Brosnan is fast becoming the new Nick Cage - each new screen appearance in a worse stinker than the last.

    Wasteland - absolute rubbish.

Interrogation, which sounded good and was equally full of holes.

As someone who grew up playing the Ratchet and Clank games, I naturally had to see what the film was about. Absolute tripe. Maybe enjoyable for young folk who've never played the game, but for a fan, it was borderline offensive.

    Remake of PointBreak

I let my curiosity get the better of me, and wish I hadn't cos I love the Reeves/Swayze version.

The original movie (love it or hate it) is far superior. It's already been "remade" or "homaged" as "the fast and the furious" anyway, to a much bettter standard!

In this remake the cinematography, stunts and scenery are breathtaking, however the whole plot/story/character arc are just utter garbage.

See you in the next life!

Had a really bad hangover so watched Bastille Day and London has Fallen back to back.

God did I need a drink after that tripe so went back down the boozer

Had to do a search for this movie to see if anyone else had even sat through it. This wedding date thing, gud Jaysus, what a stinker, how these things get the go ahead is beyond me.

The Maze Runner was just on the telly. A sort of lowbrow, teen 'Cube'. Cack.

    Wild Geese II.

I recorded it thinking it couldn't be much worse than the original film - I was wrong!

What a load of cak, had to switch off after half an hour.

Inferno, just didn't work, Hanks is very overexposed ATM, and this shows as he mumbles his way through this one with no great conviction.
Even Sidse Babett Knudsen can't save it.

Imperium or Empirium (I can't remember) but either way it was rubbish. I'm not a fan of Daniel Radcliffe but he was convincingly unrealistic in a film that promised much and delivered nothing. All fart and no smell. Very poor indeed.

"Certain Women" with Laura Dean, Kristin Stewart, and Michelle Willams.

It received VERY favourable reviews from critics, but lukewarm (at best) feedback from audiences.

Worst film I have seen in many, many years! It has NO plot and pacing was like watching paint dry.

    Bad Films

In my opinion, Ghostbusters, the 2016 version.
The best bit was the The cameo appearance by Dan Aykroyd.
The second best bit, the end.

He's a really nice bloke so I hate to say this but before he was James Bond his films were all pretty much cack. Straight to video fare.

After Bond he tried to branch out but his films since are pretty much back to where he was before. Its no real surprise.

He doesn't have massive range as an actor. I'm pretty sure he understands that himself.

I thought The Fourth Protocol was good.

Mockingjay Part II. Dull, obvious, not entertaining - though I did look up the nudey pics of Jennifer Lawrence as research, so not all was lost.

Yes, must admit I sniggered throughout. My 9-year old loves all things Marvel and is desperate to watch Deadpool. I can't think of a less appropriate Marvel film for him to watch.

The wife and I settled down to watch High Rise on Saturday night and while it is pretty much routine for my better half to fall asleep watching films in front of the telly, this time both of us were asleep before the half way point. As this was a Love Film rental, I might normally be inclined to give it another crack on a subsequent occasion but this time neither of us felt the need to do so.

The film featured in the Guardian 'Best films of 2016 so far' feature a week or two back in which their summary reads thusly: 'What we said: I loved its gnomic refusal of normal storytelling and the way it approximates the distance of Ballard’s prose. It’s the social-surrealist film of the year.'

    Mmmmmm.

Just watched 'Now You See Me 2'. The first one was an enjoyable romp but the sequel was very poor - a new director who, I think, had been watchng the Mission Impossible films and thought 'I can do that'. Sorry chap, you can't. And no Mélanie Laurent but the arrival of Daniel Radcliffe as the baddie. Really? What were they thinking?

Dirty grandpa,,,,,,why oh why did Robert De Niro get involved. My missus is the one who normally finds this kind of dialogue/humour un watchable, she thought Dereck and Clive was unbelievably offensive yet loved this crap, 20 mins and I was very wound up and left the room.

    I loved Deadpool.

However Steven Segal's Perfect Weapon was only slightly better than his usual fare.

Magnificent 7 which I had high hopes for was not much better.

Watched inferno last night, utter crap! They changed too many characters (for the worse) and the story, which added nothing. Hanks was unusually flat, as mentioned. Going to forget I ever saw it and remember the book!

    The Need for Speed

On Netflix. Has Aaron Paul in it, Jesse Pinkman from Breaking Bad.

A cross between Vanishing Point (excellent) and Cannonball (passable viewing) from the 1970's.

Anyway it was totally crap! Watched the first 20 mins and then settled for the next 2 hours at four times fast forward. How on earth this made over USD200m at the box office beats me.

Just seen Sully, sheesh, can't Hanks turn anything down? 3/10.

Just curious how you would have improved his portrayal of Sully? What do you think he got wrong?

Foggy, I don't think it was his performance of Sully as such, more his half-hearted performance in general. When he's engaged in the character they are believable, but in this film Aaron Eckhart as the co-pilot was more believable.

I like the idea of the film but I really don't like Tom Hanks - I'm not sure why as he seems to be universally loved.
