After reading The Feather Men years ago - I was looking forward to watching the film version called Killer Elite.
Especially as De Niro was in it.
However - it was terrible. Shocked Robert De Niro would have agreed to do it.
Not a recent one, but was talking with a mate tonight about Matthew McConaughey's career resurrection, which seems to have involved taking gritty roles and mumbling his way through them (Interstellar, True Detective, which are both great, but verging on incomprehensible without subtitles). Anyway, it reminded me of a film I saw with my ex-girlfriend (our hugely different taste in films was one reason it never worked out). Anyway, if you ever get the chance to watch Ready To Launch, also starring Sarah Jessica Parker, avoid it like the plague. Still makes me cringe at the awfulness, and that I even went to the cinema with the ex to see it!

Watched 'The Gambler' with Mark Wahlberg recently - very poor i have to say.
Agree with The Gambler, very disappointed!
I'll add American sniper to the average list too
Avengers assemble - pony.
None of the characters have any charisma at all.
I used to love Marvel comics as a kid but these filmed versions are just tripe.
Cheers,
Neil.
Sat down to watch Dune recently. Terrific cast and it looked good, but dear knows what it was about!
Chappie, I was really looking forward to it, and it was garbage.
Tomorrowland was poor
Get Hard was just awful.
Waste of two talented comedic actors
Last night's bad film was Survivor, starring Milla Jovovich as a security expert at the US embassy in London. For reasons too tedious to get into, she winds up getting chased round London by Pierce Brosnan, who is an elusive deadly assassin, sniper and bomb-maker known as "the watchmaker". Because he makes watches. Or at least, he fiddles with watch innards in darkened basements. I hope his watch-making is better than his deadly assassining, because Milla is able to avoid death at his hands on several occasions by simply running past him. At one point Milla pawns her watch for a phone call "it was a gift, it's sterling" she says, presumably because "I got it out of Argos" wasn't going to cut it.
I gave up on watching it, because on the one hand it was an incoherent mess, and on the other it was very formulaic and ultimately extremely dull. Brosnan couldn't save it, lord knows he tried.
I made the mistake of watching The Wedding Video on Iplayer over the weekend before it expired. I thought the cast (of comedians, some of whom I actually find funny) might carry it but it seems the IMDB rating of 5.4 was generous.

Speaking of generous IMDB ratings ...

7.4 is 7.4 too much for this shocker.
Even a round zero would be generous :(

Agreed, was bloody aweful!!

The biggest pile of poo I have had the misfortune to watch.
Suicide Squad. Been looking forward to this for weeks and I'm a good customer for this sort of nonsense, but it is a huge sprawling pile of pooh.
Sat down last night to watch the Man from Uncle film as I remember the original TV series all I can say is after 20 mins switching over to Michael Portillo's great train journeys was like a breath of fresh air
+1 for Get Hard - the ad-libbing was cringeworthy, it looked like they just stuck Will Ferrell in front of the camera with no prep and told him to be funny.
I'm halfway through Man From Uncle. I looked forward to that being added to Sky Movies but my wife and I both fell asleep halfway through which doesn't say much for it.
Solace I wanted to enjoy but ended up feeling a bit cheated. It's based on a script which was originally meant as a sequel to Se7en, but ended up being pretty shoddy with serial killers and psychics making very poor bedfellows.
I watched Only God Forgives last night..
It it was either brilliant & I didn't get it... Or utter tripe.
I think the latter.

The trailers for Suicide Squad were enough to convince me it wouldn't be very good. Talked my wife into giving up Sky Movies on the basis that we had Netflix and there were loads of movies to be watched on there. We watched "That's My Boy" with Adam Sandler last weekend, utter garbage. Switched it off after ten minutes.

Do not watch the sequel to Independence Day.
Bad, really bad, in fact so bad it never even became quite good.
Even my 14 year son thought it was shockingly bad despite having jet fighters, space ships, aliens and lots of action.
You have been warned!
Whoever does not know how to hit the nail on the head should be asked not to hit it at all.
Friedrich Nietzsche
Grimsby (Sacha Baron Cohen)
Appalling with a few humorous moments, but not enough to make it worth while.
Snakes on a plane

Angry Birds The movie. My son wanted to watch so had to escort him. 97 minutes of my life I'll never get back.
Jason Bourne. Must be one of the worst scripts ever written.
Loved the original trilogy, but this one .........ugh!
Parker, absolute bilge from start to finish

Ahh I loved snakes on a plane.
Unfriended. Naff not even a horror.
The Boss.
Melissa McCarthy vanity project, same gags as she does in every film. Awful
Watched 'Lucy' again last night on Netflix, I remember this movie having so much potential, but a let down from 20 mins in, worth a watch to be fair.
The shallows. Would have been better if the shark had eaten her at the very beginning.
Mike and David Need Wedding Dates, Neighbors 2 .... I am beginning to think that you can't find a decent contemporary comedy these days :-/
Steven Seagal "The Ultimate Weapon". Childish, predictable, clichéd and the mandatory but irrelevant nightclub scene with throbbing music and scantily-clad pole dancers.
Eddie
Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
A trio of toss this week.
Need for Speed (it actually has some redeeming features, but ultimately pretty shoddy).
Cockneys V's Zombies (as above, a few decent comedy turns but generally pap).
The Frankenstein Theory. Worst film I've ever seen. Ever.
R.I.P.D. On Film 4 - a Men In Black wannabe. Good cast, expensive CGI. Utter, utter drivel. I had never heard of it (2013 or 2014 I think) and it's not surprise. This is surely one everyone involved wants expunged from the IMDB profile.
Watched ' Cloud Atlas ' not terribly bad but got lost in confusion of plots and time sequence .
