How about Swatch Chrono Auto for £186 on Amazon??

Here's a challenge. As per the title.........anyone know what's the cheapest new 'Swiss Made' watch available now.
(Not including quartz)
My vote goes for the Hamilton Khaki Auto (approx £360)
Can anyone beat that?

I saw a swiss made rose gold patek philippe nautilus with display back replica selling for £150. Seems like it's a pretty good deal in itself other than the fact that it's a replica.
UHR-222 from Uhr watches E189=£150 (ish)
They claim they only use swiss movements.

i assume the op means fully swiss made whatever that really means these days rather than just using swiss movments?
steinhart has to be up there as well, as do zodiac.
if he's happy with the watch not stating swiss on the dial but using eta movements, if he clicks the timefactors link up there ^^^^, he'll find loads of goodies, the speedbird iii being the best vfm eta powered watch available currently imho.

Don't know the watch, but that looks like it says 'autoquartz' on the rotor.Originally Posted by Neilo

´Swiss Made´ means anything up to 75% of parts/cost incurred elsewhere.
´ETA engined´ is not any different is it?
in my opinion no it isn't- as you can see from the list below my sig - but some make the distinctionOriginally Posted by Huertecilla

They are a German company, but if you're just judging it on the movements, UHR is probably the cheapest option.Originally Posted by gentlemenpreferhats

Another one of those wónderfull borderline cases is indeed the ETA autoquartz with more mechanical gearworks than many ´mechanical´ watches.
The :bounce: of all is the Hamilton ETA automatic:
that is marked ´Automatic´ by Swatch corp.
A sobering thought for this topic is the price development of the ETA2824-2 and ETA6497 over the last 15 years.
Prices of watches with ´Swiss ETA´ is as clear an example of Swiss marketing taking the pink micky as .... Richemonts interpretations of the ´historic´ italian Panerais.

The thing is that anything marked ´Swiss Made´ with a wiggly spring controlled movement meets the topic title.
As long as 25% of cost is incurred in Switserland it can have an only party Swiss made/assembled engine largely outsourced in China.
How big a customer of watch parts is Switserland for China??
Back to the OT question interpreted as ´Swiss engined´ I think among the cheapest are the Swiss engined homages like; STERILE SUBMARINER DIVING WATCH with CERAMIC BEZEL and SWISS ETA 2836-2 --- $279,- .
The price uplift for a swiss versus asian mechanical 6497 type engine is typically some 150$.
That is kind of a joke when we consider the base swiss quality:
Ah, the famous Swiss EV-7005 caliber :mrgreen:Originally Posted by abraxas

Are you sure that is a genuine 6497? The base 6497s I have seen are average, but not that bad. Maybe that is a Chinese clone?Originally Posted by Huertecilla

It´s the Hamilton Pulsomatic.Originally Posted by ktmog6uk
It has the same ETA autoquartz digital as the Rado ceramic digital.
The winding bit is shared with the Ventura Sparc.
The littlle barrel ´barilet´realy is a stroke of genious.
The rotor winds the small spring and that releases the tension over a ratchet, kickstarting the generator thus easily surpassing the charging threshold even when leading a leasure lifestyle.
In a way it is a very 8) mechanical micro main spring keeping a solid state digital display on the boil.
Yes, it is indeed a form of spring drive; an autocharged spring keeping a quartz controled clock on the boil, displaying the time in digital format. The pr being stored in a battery or a spring does not amount to much does it?!
In real life the Hamilton is a bit
You would be fár better off with the very much more value for money and lots 8) 8) Ventura Sparc RX (or Sigma).
Fantaastic value and mine gets plenty of wear at the moment. Made in Germany but with a Swiss movement.Originally Posted by gentlemenpreferhats
Eddie's pieces are indeed great VFM, as others have noted.
Apart from them, this one of mine is around £260 new I think:
thanks for this, time to investigate further...
