What a shame, no age really. :(
Always a big fan of Booker T and the MG's especially when they backed Otis Redding live.
Here they are, DD is of course top left.
RIP DD.
Duck Dunn - bassist from Booker T and the MGs, also famous performance in The Blues Brothers, has passed away aged 70.

great shame,coolest backing band ever.
That's a real shame. He was Atlantic's version of James Jamerson
Very sad news
Love McLemore Ave their song for song cover of Abbey Road
Just saw this, very sad indeed. Great bassist, great sound. If you've ever in Memphis check out the Stax museum - you walk round stunned at just how many of their records you know as classics.
For some great tunes from their back catalogue buy this (although not at the 17 quid amazon price...)

God bless.
Sad news indeed, played on some of my favourite records. Love all the Stax output, and you simply don't get a record label house band like that any more, up there with Motown's Funk Brothers.
