there to make up for a tiny winky :D
A few weeks back, I had a wander through the Burlington Arcase and saw several of what could only be described as RIDICULOUSLY OVER-SIZED Panerais They were so big that I don't think even the Hulk could have carried it off!
At first glance I thought they were fakes, then I thought maybe just decorative, but then I thought "I'm in the Burlington Arcase"; hardly your local fleamarket... so can anyone enlighten me as to what they're about??

No mate, I'm talking about these massive ones, not just the standard Panerais!Originally Posted by redmond

Egis?
Possibly... I think this is one... looks like yours there...Originally Posted by AndyRS2113
If you mean the 60mm "Egiziano" it was commissioned by the Egyptian navy originally and was made to meet their requirements. What you probably saw is the limited edition collectors re-issue, and not really supposed to be taken seriously and worn by joe-public, imo.
It was conceived and designed to fit over a dive suit :)

Ah, the dive suit scenario would make sense, although not on a leather strap I guess. It was a bloody big watch that's for sure :D
defo not mine... i would have noticed :mrgreen:Originally Posted by W44NNE

I'd love one - and I'd wear it
It's just a matter of time...
Well, taste differs and all.... but
I'd love to see if I could fit that under my shirt sleeve in a suit :D :D
Reminds me of an old retired mahoosive wrestler who wore a Heuer Dash Timer (Super Autavia) on his wrist..
Last time I was in the Arcade a few weeks ago there was (what I assumed to be) an original along with a compass. I'm sure someone posted about it on here at the time (or maybe MWR?)Originally Posted by shadowman

Why do you think Stallone has such big biceps? :D
“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
They are just to massive, even on large wrists.
Blower's have one in stock.
i thought it was a deck watch, rather than a diver, for the officer of the watch to use. I'll have a bit of a dig later.

A collector 'viewing only' piece imo as i said previously, it's clearly too big to wear for most mortals, although Arnie seems to almost pull it off and without a dive suit too!

Duggans sold off their Panerai's to other dealers in 2009/10 because they said they couldn't shift any and now won't touch them.
Most Panerai's look great but silly sizes aren't restricted to that brand. The AP T3 looks daft. I was offered one years ago with quite a discount as the dealer couldn't shift it. But then, the End of Days didn't sell well on release.
