    AP Incoming

Thanks, a lot, to Heikki for agreeing to a trade for his RO 15300 in exchange for my deepsea+.

A smooth transaction, helped also by our respective courier companies, between Suomi and Blighty. I wouldn't hesitate to do another deal with Heikki.

I'll add a link when I find a screwdriver, but doesn't look too bad 8)

    Re: AP Incoming

With the deepsea, there were times when I thought 'what a f*cking great watch' and other times when you'd catch it just at *that* angle and I thought 'that bracelet really looks out of proportion'.

So, in answer to your very pertinent question - yes... and no :).

definitely no... well a bit yes.

I'm glad, though, that it was the deepsea heikki fancied a shot at; otherwise it would be harder to decide which of the two to wear tomorrow morning. Especially as I still haven't found that bloody screwdriver.

    Re: AP Incoming

    Really nice (although I'm biased)!

What I like about it is that it's very different from any of my other watches. The dial is one of the best in the business - the legibility is superb- and the case finishing is lovely - the intricacy of the brushed finish really is very special. Very classy.

    (Please forgive indulgent photo posting)-

    Stunning photographs robcat! :drunken:
The macro shot of the dial and logo is amazing. It really shows the quality of the finishing and attention to detail that goes into these watches. 8)

Lovely photos, thanks for posting, and congrats to the OP. A 15300 is on my list, but I don't think I'll ever buy a watch that valuable!

Interesting: I was just wondering what legibility would be like (in an abstract kind of way.)

Utterly lovely watch - and one I wouldn't have appreciated until I started hanging about on here.

    Thanks chaps.

BTW, I can confirm a Panerai screwdriver doesn't quite fit the bracelet screws on the RO :? Anyone know what size I need, would a 0.5mm Bergeon be too small?

0.8mm seems to be the best. The bracelet adjustment is quite well thought out. Much better than push-pins. They should really have provided a half (one and a half) link as standard though.

    No probs.

How are you finding the watch now you've had it a few days?

I was of two minds, before I found the screwdriver I knew I had (FYI 1mm fits perfectly). What a difference a link makes, it wears much better now.

I was beginning to think I'd made the jump from 44+ to 39 a bit too quickly, but it only took a few days post-adjustment to get over that. I think this is a keeper. But I will be taking a close look at the 15400 8)

Its not that long ago when I didn't like the APRO at all. Now I do. And it really is the fault of TZ-UK.

    Congratulations to a fine timepiece.

An AP and a Franck Muller is all I really need. Honest!

Great piece, well done. Certainly a good exchange for a Deepsea+

I think it is a relatively discreet watch (the ROO is there if you want something chunky), but I know what you mean about adjustment to size. The RO does seem small compared to my PAM 312 or BP FF, but compared to my JLC MM it seems large. I think the 15400 will satisfy people with big wrists or who want larger watches, but for me, if the lug-to-lug distance is any larger than the 39mm RO, it would be too "long" on the wrist and not sit right. I primarily wear mine for work, so I appreciate the RO being quite svelte - the 37mm would be too small for my taste though.
