Removing paint from watch hands ?

    Hi guys
Let me tell you what I'm looking for
I have a Aquadive BS100 s/steel ( google for pics ) and I don't want any orange on the minute or second hands , but I like the style of the hands that the BS100 already have , so does anyone know if the orange can be removed from the current hands so that they are ( hour & minute hand ) just s/steel and ( seconds hand ) all black , still all hands with lume on them of course .
Any thoughts on a watch maker who could do this ?
    Kindest regards
    Mark

    Mark,

I think that would be difficult. You wil always have different colors after you remove the paint.
Best way to do it is to take of all the paint and lume, repaint the hands in the color you want it with thinned enemal paint,
    and relume the hands.

Good advice - I've also had reasonable results spraying hands on custom builds in the past, but thinned enamel is far more controllable.

If you want stainless hands, it's not expensive to buy them, do you have the sizes?

Yes new hands , that may be the best option , but I like the hands that are on the watch just not the orange paint , so if anyone has a source for new hands same style or something very close then let me know :D
    Movement is a ETA 2836-2

2836 makes it easy to find hands. I just googled the watch...finding the exact same hands but without the orange isn't easy if not impossible. Anyway I would try asking the manufacturer first, at least it's worth a try.
