It's a Ref. 405, caliber 62. IWC's ledger indicates that it left Schaffhausen in October 1946, destination Bratislava.

It's 35mm x 11mm, but wears like a 37mm.

I bought it from a watchmaker in Krakow in February of last year. Whenever I've seen him since, he has tried to interest me in a not dissimilar version in gold that he wears every day. Fortunately, I'm not that keen on gold...

That's even better than the previous ones. More interesting at least. Seems like there's a brass pivot in a gold chaton in the middle. Never seen that before.
