Pardon my ignorance, but what is so special about Dreadnought No. 160/200? Is it the ID of the seller/owner or the price it went for?

While I do appreciate how very special the Dreadnought is and how highly prized these legendry watches are? there is one thing that stands out each & every time I look at a photo of one, even though I have checked the specification of this BIG watch??.

..and that is that it looks like a small movement in a big case.

Please forgive my blasphemy and don?t banish me from this forum.

I?m pleased to see from the initial drawings that the Dreadnought GMT has a slimmer insert between the crystal and bezel and a correspondingly larger dial, which to my novice eye looks much better than the original Dreadnought.

pdr, you may be dragged screaming over burning coals for your blasphemous comments:lol:
a big/heavy case/thick armoured crystal is required for withstanding the terrific pressures when diving deep

of course, this means 'the list' is inaccurate now that roger doesn't own 160/200

    john.
