I for one enjoy your pics Tony - lovely combo on that strap btw :thumbleft:
I love photography. At one point in my life I attempted to make a living from it, but the competition was fierce (to put it mildly) and I decided that I wasn't good enough to assume that I could support a family fulfilling my dream. It became a hobby and nothing more - relegated at times to the a place some way behind the every day banalities of life, but always lurking.
I post photos because I hope that other members on here might enjoy looking at them; they're photos of watches and this is a watch forum, so it seems to me that it's as good a place as any to put them. What I don't do, however, is post photos to make any kind of statement, whether it be about my personal circumstances or anything else (nor should anyone allow themselves to draw erroneous conclusions; my advice, for what it's worth, is not to judge what you don't understand). I genuinely don't understand why my expressing a love of both watches and photography should cause anyone to react unpleasantly and I can only suggest that, if you don't like looking at them, you don't look at them. It really is that simple.
I spent a bit of time taking these earlier. It's what I enjoy doing :)
I for one enjoy your pics Tony - lovely combo on that strap btw :thumbleft:
looks great to me
Great photos..thanks for posting
Keep them coming, Tony.
Fantastic pictures!
Tony, your pics (and watches) are very welome as far as I am concerned.
Would you like a copy of my school's anti-bullying poicy?
Thanks Tony - I like to see a good composition.
And you never dissappoint.
The fact that you have some very nice watches to document shouldn't be a problem either.
I can't afford to buy into the Rolex brand at the moment.
But that doesn't mean I should be denied a little bit of window shopping through your snap shots
I've come across people like you before. You know, the creative type.....
Your watch collection is sublime mate.
Your skills with a camera 'aint too shabby either.
But that friggin daft strap
Absolutely nothing wrong there. TFS.
Hang on...nobody told me that this thread contained generic brand reproductive images......
I-am-outraged!
Nice piccy though,as always. That the laundry basket? :D
I for one appreciate it Tony. Keep the desktop backgrounds coming!
Tony,
I also really enjoy your snaps ( ) and they are an inspiration to me to try harder. If I ever manage to take a pic half as good as any of yours I would be over the moon.
I find it quite sad that a verbal minority find it somehow distressing that you take the time and effort to produce such fantastic images and post them for, (I believe by far) the majority to enjoy.
More please. :)
However, I'm afraid I agree about the strap - .
Rob
Never apologise and never explain.
But of a quote for you on a Sunday evening ltf.
I like seeing your pics.
Keep shooting LTF.
One day I'll buy a decent DSLR myself and will aim for the standard you have set.
We are all passionate about watches here and love to see the objects of our desire shot beautifully in the way you and others do. I simply don't have the equipment or the skills to do mine justice.
Good pics, who on earth is complaining?
Great pics
Same story as me, I was
John Michael Photographic
Way back in late 70's and in 1980 gave it up.
Tooo cut throat
But hey ....... :bounce:
We are still here aren't we. :o
I didn't know anyone was whinging. Don't listen to 'em. Great watches, great photos, no judgements that I'm seen. Keep 'em coming.
Not even need to explain your approach in my read. This place would be definitely less without those photos.
If I fall in love with a watch and want to be sure in my feeling I search for your photos about that model...
Great pics Tony, as always.
I would imagine that most people here appreciate your efforts. I strongly suspect that all of those who actually understand how much work goes into the pictures, appreciate your efforts.
Your pics, together with those of one or two others, have served as inspiration to me to spend some more time improving my own photography skills, and I'm grateful for that.
....although it has cost me money in lenses already and given my missus another reason to think I'm a mentalist
Keep up the good work
Steve
Stunning pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Great photos (keep'em coming). Great watch. Dodgy strap!
And long may they continue Tony. There are a few photographers on here who post the most beautiful crafted shots and I for one never tire of seeing them.
Have to agree with Burnsey about the leather strap though! :)
Keep shooting mate, because I'm sure if you don't Dunc and I will :D
Oh and remember, don't listen to the haters
I always enjoy your work Tony & if this forum isn't a good place to express & share your passion then i'm obviously missing something. I think you'll find there's a good portion of members who enjoy your input & would encourage you to continue myself included.
Keep 'em coming mate.
Your pics are great as always tony... Care to enlighten us with who said what etc? Sounds like yet another "keyboard warrior"!
I always enjoy your posts and your photos (the watches aren't bad either :) ). Keep 'em coming.
Given that this a watch forum it baffles me why any member would not want to see pics of watches.
I can only guess that it is a case of envy, if so:

Ignorance breeds Fear. Fear breeds Hatred. Hatred breeds Ignorance. Break the chain.
Tony, as I've said before, you are the "Watch Porn King", or was it "Watches Porn King". Whichever one it is, I for one love your posts.
Keep'em coming (or was it "keep it coming!")
“Don’t look back, you’re not heading that way.”
Great shots of a great watch!
regards
mike
Great photos - it seems you have received some hard comments for your posts ?
Well, its clear that you have a thing for your watches, but then again, don't we all. I very much enjoy your posts, and find your pictures inspirational, but with respect to motive, as well as quality.
As it is, they have opened my eyes quite a bit to the vintage rolex' and I appreciate that. Keep 'em coming :)
Cheers,
Henrik
Well I'm not looking at any more of your pics until you stop covering up the bloody dial text with the hands every time
....and putting them on stupid straps like Burnsey says
Other than that you're all right I guess :D
Long live the haters! :P :P
Great photos as always. Can't speak for other people but seeing beautiful watches well photographed improves my day, so thanks.
Alex.
Thanks a lot for the pics....stunning watch...
How odd that anyone should make negative comments... I'm a creative and I can see the passion you have in every shot (for the watches and the photography) I fell every photo post adds to this forum and I think you do yourself. You come in for some ribbing and you always take it with a great nature - as I think 99.9% of the time it is given. Shame someone has to come in with that 0.01%....
Keep up the very good, entertaining and interesting work!!
Cheers
And another here who always likes your pictures.
But I am also with those who do not like the strap!!
Not being aware of what has been said to you it’s difficult to comment.
However how anyone can fail to enjoy your obvious skill at photography is perplexing.
I always enjoy your photos and admire both your skill and your watches.
Oh and I like the strap, what is it may I ask?
