I really like that.
I've got a soft spot for oris.. Great watches and not greedy with the pricing.
This never usually happens to me, but wandering around my local town yesterday, I happened past the only quality jewellers who are AD's for a few 'mid price' brands. They had a sale on, and looking towards the Oris display I noticed they had an Oris Titan C Small Seconds Date for sale at 50% off...
I've always fancied an Oris diver so went in to enquire about it and try it on. I kind of knew as I walked through the door that I'd be leaving with it! It's an ex-display model but wasn't knocked about at all, pretty much as new in fact. It had the box, paperwork, etc etc, and it's 2 year warranty had yet to start.
It's Titanium/steel construction, so isn't as heavy as its 47mm size would suggest. It's actually 47mm at the base, at the bezel it's a much more reasonable 43mm, but as I've got quite a wide flat wrist it doesn't look silly big. I understand the movement to be based on an ETA 2836-2, so nothing exotic, and I'm sure Oris don't do much to it other than stick a different rotor on it, which I can't check as being a 1000m rated watch it has a solid caseback. I particularly like the ceramic bezel, and the blue lume.
I've since registerd it on the Oris website, and they chuck in an extra years warranty for your trouble, so good until March 2015.
Anyway, I've taken a few pics to share, and if you're interested in a new Oris keep an eye out in the AD's as they are making way for the new stock so I believe a few places have very generous discounts on offer. :)

at 50% off I think I would have done the same. Good find!
I really do like those Oris Dials and Hands.
I almost bought the Standard Titanium diver a while back that was on offer as a display model.
Yeah nice pick up there. Nice chunk of a watch.
That is a nice find, love the hands
Love it , and with that discount amazing .
Good luck.
Lee
I've had a mixed experience of Oris but would tempt even the sternest critic. Congratulations
Gray
Super result, like the watch too.
That's blooming lovely, great buy with 50% off I would think
Oris watches rock! Mrs Neebsta bought me a TT1 Oris Chrono for a wedding day present 7 years ago. It's my one 100% keeper, for that reason SWMBO would throttle me!
Mate i love this piece, i tried it on and fell in love with it........you would never guess it's 47mm, for some reason the one i tried on had too much play in the bezel, but at 50% and that model is eta powered and soon most thins Oris will be sellita(not that that's a bad thing)......enjoy my friend i am well envious at 50%.......My Ad's suck i have to virtually beg for 10% off
All the best Juice
Great looking - congrats ! :D And a nifty fifty, its a steal. I rather like the titanium, especially for something this size as it helps keep the weight down. And ti is a very nice wear, IMO...
Used to have the orange version of this, they wear really well for the size.
That looks a cracker. Bargain as well by the sound of it. :-)
Some fine shots of a fine watch there!
Think you got a bit of a bargain. :D
Great watch you got there , I had the Oris Small Seconds orange version ,but sold it regrett it now.
bargain! great watch and great photos aswell. ill be keeping an eye out at the ad's for one of these!
I was not looking at orispreviously but that's a bargain and a very nice watch.
I'll keep my eyes peeled now
I realy like these.
Did they have any othe Oris bargains at your local AD?
Nice find! Oris is one of my favorite brands.
Good for you. :P
Nice buy one day I will need one of these nice Oris watches too 8) .
You cant go wrong with an Oris diver and at half price its a steal.
Enjoy wearing it.
Happy days
What a great deal and watch
Good looking watch.
I'm guessing they had it on sale at such a big discount because of the size, but if it fits you OK then why not?

Wanted - Damasko DC57
As no one else has asked......how much was it :?:
I love these. Beautiful watch. I found the 47mm a bit too big for my wrist, so I went with a 44mm, but looks wise yours is probably the best of this style.
That's remarkably handsome, and remarkably bargainous. I like the seconds register, I normally prefer central seconds but that's very visually pleasing.
I may go for a lunchtime wander round the shops, now.
I've also got a strong Oris itch - I really like their big divers.
Looks a great piece for a great price!
Price and where bought would be of interest here too. Oris always look at the better value end of recognised quality brands, with 50% off they would be fantastic for the money.
Was this from Ernest Jones?
They seem to discount ex-display stuff by 30- 50% when replacing them, which makes them rather well priced, but hard to know what they may have and when they'll put stuff on sale (have never been able to convince them to give me advanced warning- they know full well such big discounts usually sell in short order). It also means what (if anything) is available is down to the individual shop, not anything approaching group level, so it's basically a case of "pop in" as often as possible, as they won't always be in the window, and see if there's anything tasty.
Oris have some excellent watches - very much underrated IMO.
Nice one.
Ian.
Great watch!!
I have a 47mm TT small seconds in blue from 2010 and keep meaning to put it on SC but change my mind when i cant think of anything to replace it with!!
By complete coincidence I was sat opposite someone wearing this watch today at lunch... looked lovely in the metal, especially for half the price :)
they are very good quality watches made for price
what a find , well done
