A Heuer that doesn't get much press and attracts mixed views. Personally I really like them along with some of the other less popular Heuer including Ickx, Verona, Daytona, Cortina etc
With my post yesterday about how I like IWI watches, I realise I am on my own with my ecclectic taste. Well just for you guys I thought I would share my Heuer Temporada. When I wear this, I usually get very mixed reactions, mostly negative. It is only the die hard Heuer fans or 70's kitch lovers that have any liking towards this watch....I am both :D
No doubt will be the same reactions here :bom:
I like it and that is what counts. Excuse the strap prop, its a bolt which shows through the holes in the strap

It looks good to me. 8)
I would gladly wear that 8)
I think that looks just fine.

Nick
I don't think I'd buy one, but I can see the attraction.
I like it ....
But i fall into both of your catagories in this case, Heuer fan & ecclectic observer.
The dial has a nice change of colour towards bronze as you change the angle of your wrist.
I think you chose the right strap for that baby too.
You forgot to inform the masses that it has a composite case. The back case is formed fibre glass whilst the top cases were offered in either gold or chrome plate. They are sandwiched together (i'm not quite sure how the cases are separated in order to service the watch)
Lovely to see one being used in all its glory.
Cheers - Darren
I like that a lot. But then I have an Ickx already
"A man of little significance"
It is indeed, its a resin composite case - which puts a lot of people off and this one has a chrome plated bezel. The strap is very old, it is a Tropic SportOriginally Posted by Darren Cal.11/12
The Ickx is also a beauty in my opinion. Its even more off beat than the Temporada 8)Originally Posted by Foxy100

I didn't care for the aesthetics of the IWI, but that Heuer is a beauty!
F.T.F.A.
Nothing wrong with that Heuer that I can see.
I like it!
Very different but that's the cool thing with it!
It's your wrist, your watch and your choice! Nice one - I couldn't pull it off (much too cool for me), but I like the styling.
As I thought, plenty of marmite opinion on this one, more positive thn negative I am pleased to see :D
Yeah - liking that one - nice shape.
I like the look of most Heuer's of this style, the colour adds to the period feel in my mind.
With that construction, how is the movement accessed? Is it a factory only job as the case is pressed, or have I misunderstood?
Its a "top loader" You get to the movemement by removing the crystal - another marmite point :)Originally Posted by nellyh

Totally dig it!
Nice catch! :D
I think it looks very good, congrats. Would not mind one myself, anyone know what these trades for ?
A delightful watch.
I loved the pieces that Heuer put out during that period of times... and of course, they were not alone in that classic 70's shape.
Brilliant!
There don't seem to be many of these around. This is my one, proper '70s madness.
Very cool - off to watch Anchor Man again now.
Breitling did something similar with the Sprint - designed, similar to this Heuer I suspect, to be a lightweight sports watch. Perhaps to be worn whilst "yogging"?
...but what do I know; I don't even like watches!
Very nice big fan of heuer but not yet been able to get one its on my bucket list
Thisis very nice watch, you like it, and no reason to bother with some different tastes.
Wear it and enjoy.
I'm really coming round to the whole 70's aesthetic TBH - I think it looks great. Undoubtedly Marmite - you either going to love the style or hate it.....
