I'd say you should.
You don't need 2 Subs, and the LV is the better one. It's a shame to get rid of a Daytona but I'd agree the Zenith is the superior watch. You'll still have a hell of a collection.
I'm thinking of selling my Daytona and Sub C to buy a new AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver
I'm I being mad :?
The Daytona I never wear anymore as I love the Zenith Striking 10 far more
And I have just got my old Sub LV back so don't need to 2 of them
What are AP watches like ? do they hold there value well, I've still not seen
One in the flesh yet so if anyone has a pictures that would help
Cheers

Short answer - oh yeah :!: :!:
I seriously like them and definatley on my wishlist, eventually
Not so bovvered about the chronograph variant, but the basic (if you can call it that :? ) one with the black waffle dial would be my choice
Cheers chap I know what you mean about the Daytona I only got the watch
Last year new but it really doesn't do anything for me now great watch thou
In short words, YES
I am thinking the same thing, see attached URL

The AP Diver is an awsome watch and wear beatiful on the wrist IMHO
Try it on first then you will do it!
.
If you never had an AP RO before, MOST DEFINITELY. If you had an AP RO before, you wouldn't be asking. :P

THIN is the new BLACK
One of the jewellers on Hatton Garden - near Holborn Circus (not Bassange but on the same side) had a beautiful one in yesterday. On leather with crazy orange numerals for £9,000.
Bit too big for my girly wrists, but an impressive watch nevertheless.

Easy decision, go for it.
Most definitely yes. If the watches you would trade aren't doing it for you, or are close to being a duplicate of another watch you own, it's not like it would leave a hole in your collection. But the AP is a wonderful looking watch, one I'll likely never own sadly, but if you have the chance I would jump at it.

Yes!!!
If I could I would.
Look forward to your happy purchase. :D
if there an itch, scratch it - especially if you dont wear the Daytona and Sub C.Originally Posted by bazza.
the AP River is quite different to other watches, due to the case and lug design. some will find it comfy, but some will find it chunky, like myself.
have tried it a few times, liked the design, much better than an ROO, but still cant find a comfy setting for me.
id suggest to try it and see.
from memory, Watch Club in london has a pre-owned one at a pretty good price me thinks.
As long as you have Sub in your collection, I think that you should go for the AP. Personally I really like the AP ROO very much (I don't own one, but I have seen it in the flesh and tried on my wrist) and for sure I like it much better than the Daytona. I wish I could afford it!
Hell yes.
A ROO is definely on my hit list and I actually prefer the non chrono versions, such as the Diver.
But much as i love it (and it felt great on the wrist), there are two minor niggles for me.
The first is that it's offered on a rubber strap - i'd prefer leather or a bracelet, so that would be an additional cost.
The second is the lack of colour.
And both of these would be addressed by a previous ltd edition boutique Scuba ROO. I've seen pics of blue and orange versions and read that there may be a red one as well.
We had a used Diver on SC recently which went for about £8.5k IIRC.
Do it.
The flash of colour on the Scuba is nice if you like that kind of thing but the arabics really cramp up the dial imo.Originally Posted by darrenw
Well, if you're not wearing the Daytona or the Sub, then you're already sounding like you're selling them, so it's a straight case of do you want to reinvest this money in a watch, and if so, is the ROO Diver the best watch.
I have to say, i love the ROO Diver, it's a fantastic looking watch, with the lovely 3120 in-house movement, i like them better than the 'Scuba' models, as they don't have the 3120, and they also have skinnier hands, which i don't prefer over the diver hands.
But, for me, the question is, is the ROO Diver the best you can get for that money, and that's a simple question for yourself, do you prefer it over all others in that price range?
Cheers chaps I've just placed an order for one on a bracelet , should
Get it in 4 weeks when I'm back next
Anyone want a Rolex :)

If you're having doubts go and try one on and you'll soon be convinced. There are rumours of a new RO being announced on Monday at SIHH, so may be interesting to see what happens there.

Is that a 15300? Looks like it but can't be too sure.Originally Posted by michael.jaye

Very, very nice. I prefer the simple RO to any of it's more complicated brethren.Do you mean this one...

I agree that you have to try them on.
These are very tempting used as they seem to offer quite a bang for the buck.
very nice watch this one :D
Now that is lovely. Much prefer the plain 15300 to the chronos. Not in a position to get one yet, but is definitely on the wish list. 8)Originally Posted by michael.jaye
Lucky enough to see it in the flesh the other night and its a stunner.... Congrats again Mike.
Looks great on the wrist and from all the previous posts is obviously a very popular and highly regarded watch - personally though I like the Daytona (I waited nearly 5 years to get one from an AD!!) so if it was me I would try to hang onto it and perhaps look to sell some others from my collection - your choice though :)
This is the one Ive just order also with the bracelet
Very nice...where had you ordered it from?Originally Posted by bazza.

That's much better. Great choice.
A little eye-candy to tide you over Barry...
Even better! Just one quick question. How do you find the inner bezel crown, at the 10 o'clock position, for comfort?Originally Posted by cmcm3
Thanks Cliff  its going to be a long 4 weeks till I get the watch I think :(
I can say with 100% honesty it's never even occurred to me, let alone been uncomfortable.Originally Posted by mactrack
