    Speaking of pilots...

Just pulled the trigger, as the septics say, on a new pilot:

Will fill the void in my collection left by my Omega Dynamic, which I always regret having sold. (I can remember when Omega couldn't give them away, now they're much sought-after, so I hear. Ho hum.)

Very nice. Where did you get it from - is it OK to post a link.

I like the expression "pulling the trigger" as it seems to annoy many Brits to an inexplicable degree [as per recent Timezone thread]

Congrats on the new watch - it's a beaut!

thenikjones, we need more pics with watches and guns too - that seems to rub a lot of brits the wrong way too. Maybe because their government took all their toys away some years ago

(the emoticon means that I am just kidding)

Dunno why, I'm a Brit and and am quite happy with it (I've even used the expression myself).

    People are strange.

Nice watch, but aren't you being a bit of a bowler? And I'm not referring to being overweight

I have a supplier in Hong Kong I've used for years for low-end Seiko automatics. Price and service excellent. Happy to recommend him ? send me a PM and I can reply with the details.

Thanks! Glad I'm not a Yank, then! BTW, the use of the term 'Yank' to describe all Americans, regardless of their exact regional origin within the the U.S. always makes me laugh. It's a verrry big place, guys, in case you haven't had a chance to visit, and very few of us are actually Yank(ee)s... :D :D :D

There are many southerners who would gladly pull the trigger on you if you accidently refer to them as a yank(ee)!

I think that certain areas of the US South are more prone to that kind of "prejudice" than others...

Also guns and knives - Jocke has been quite creative in the post on this topic.

When I get some time I'll have to do some - my Marlin 7000T and GMT-Master II should make for a nice combo [it'll make sense at some point, believe me]
