Interesting read and fantastic resto result.
Hi all,
both myself and Jon have been busy renovating houses etc this year and the site has suffered from a lack of attention. We finally managed to get some time together this week and have at last finished a few updates and a new page.
I'm not sure if Jeff posted his restored AD model 50 on here, it was a right train wreck when he got it and he asked me if I could sort it out. I took loads of pics during the work and we've turned them into an article, here is a link should anyone fancy a read http://www.deskdivers.com/Site/AD50resto.html
We've also updated the Hong Kong shopping page with more pics and info and added some issued pics to the Sinn EZM2 stuff.
cheers
Andy

Cheers mate, it took ages to get rid of all the oil but it was well worth it in the end.Originally Posted by WatchScout

wow  looks like hard work but the result is worth it! :thumbright: thanks for posting
Glad you guys are enjoying, we often say that the site is a labour of love, but wow Andy put his heart n soul into Jeff's Aquadive AD50... we almost couldnt not feature it after that. :)
A few dedicated followers will notice the update to the EZM2 brings it up to date with the recent GSG9 sell off and anyone who wants to shop in Hong Kong should see the updated guide, its bigger and better laid out for you to find stuff quickly than it was before, hopefully making it more useful etc.
Anyway, Enjoy! :)
Wow! Fantastic work there and a jolly good read - thoroughly enjoyed that. Thank you for the posting.

Now that's what I'd call a result

Great restore!
I'm not sure, but were the Bourdon tubes refilled and depth gauge working again?
Nice way to bring this back to life. congrats.
cheers, Dave
thanks for the kind words fellas.Originally Posted by sharkfin

Good effort. Human hair to do the lettering
Enjoyed reading about the process though, my sausage fingers could never cope with that
Great restoration and a fascinating read,
Chris
Yes Andy did a fantastic Job and Jon Wallis put me intouch with Andy Big thanks to them both
Brilliant result and really interesting read. I dont think i'd ever have the patience or skill for anything like that, must have been a complete labour of love /obesession. Well done.
Andy
Great to read about an interesting project as such.
The watch looks fantastic after a painstaking and (TI)dy restoration. :) Well done.
