Are you suggesting those of us who broadly support Allan Pollock are suffering from selective hearing? Because what I'm hearing is that young Master Main claims to have been advised at the ticket counter that two singles were cheaper than a return (evidently they're not), that he was then mis-sold two singles in the same direction (!) - and that he swore at and abused the train manager who (by his own account) would have been right in insisting he got off, being without a valid ticket for the journey.Originally Posted by Lazydonkey
Mr Main is quoted as saying: "‘I had been out celebrating after an exam and I was half asleep on the train. I did have a ticket but I must have handed over the wrong one to the conductor. The next thing I know this big guy is manhandling me to the door and throwing me off." He seems to have completely forgotten the several minutes of abuse he showered on the train manager. Genuinely forgetful, or selective amnesia?
He also claims he was aware during the day that he had been supposedly mis-sold two singles for the same direction journey, and intended to explain this on the return journey. He had plenty of opportunity to explain, but instead just swore at a guy doing his job.
Of course, if I've misunderstood, and you DON'T think it's the likes of me who are suffering from selective hearing, then please accept my apologies.
